"They could not accept me and that made me look fake"

After being evicted from Bigg Boss OTT 2, Akanksha Puri spoke about the experience, calling it “humiliating” and that she should have been shown some respect.

According to Akanksha, she felt targeted from the first day.

On the premiere episode, she was termed “picture perfect” and “flawless”. Akanksha believes these terms were continuously used for her.

She explained: “I had no friends, no alliance in the house.

“Also, I entered the show two days late and then spent three days in jail and hence never got a chance to showcase my game.

“I had no bed in the house for 14 days, I don’t know why I was given this added punishment.”

She added that people called her out for being “confident” and having a “Miss India personality”.

Akanksha defended her personality and stated that this is what sets her apart.

“People had issues that I speak respectfully. I use aap even during fights. And people felt that I was pretending to be nice.

“They also had issues that I always look pretty, even when I wake up. Tell me is that my problem if I look nice?

“They could not accept me and that made me look fake, which I am not.”

She also claimed that her housemates also had issues about how she has never experienced hardship in her life.

Akanksha Puri explained: “They had an issue that I never slept on the floor, never had food troubles.

“I do come from a privileged background and I thank my parents for the same.

“But you can’t blame me for this, I was being me and not playing a character. And I think that was a problem. This is the reality of a reality show.”

Speaking about her elimination, Akanksha said she felt humiliated.

“Every contestant gets a chance to speak to Salman sir and even the housemates. I wasn’t given the chance and before I could even react, I was brought out of the house.

“It was so insulting and it made me question why was everything against me.

“Salman sir did not even speak to me during the Weekend Ka Vaar. I felt sidelined absolutely and it was hurting.”

“But I took everything that came my way in my stride but it was too much to handle.

“They never let me play my game.”

Despite the issues, Akanksha said she has no regrets about entering Bigg Boss OTT 2.

Akanksha was evicted after being named in the bottom three alongside Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar.
