"Who told you I couldn't see?"

The trailer for the much-awaited film, Neelofar, has finally been released, teasing a tender and intense romance.

The movie stars Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan in lead roles, supported by Behroze Sabzwari, Atiqa Odho, Sarwat Gilani, and Madiha Imam.

Written and directed by debutant Ammar Rasool, Neelofar follows a visually impaired woman named Neelofar, portrayed by Mahira Khan, whose life changes unexpectedly.

Fawad Khan plays Mansoor Ali, a struggling writer from Lahore suffering from a severe case of writer’s block, who encounters Neelofar at an eye clinic.

The trailer’s caption reads: “A meeting that created a new story.”

It opens with Mansoor relating his encounter to a colleague, played by Madiha Imam.

He describes how he met a blind woman during a routine visit to the clinic.

This marked the beginning of their intimate and transformative journey together.

The trailer pairs this narrative with the hauntingly beautiful track ‘Tum Hi Ho’, heightening the romance and emotional resonance throughout the film.

Neelofar is depicted as highly perceptive, noticing details and emotions that most sighted individuals often overlook in their surroundings.

She playfully engages Mansoor, cheating at a blindfolded game and sensing his gaze during their first dinner, showing her subtle power of perception.

In one scene, the two stand surrounded by white pigeons with splashes of orange and green, emphasising the visual symbolism of freedom and hope.

Neelofar calmly remarks: “Beautiful, no?”

This leaves Mansoor stunned as he begins to understand her ability to perceive more than he initially assumed.

She questions him: “Who told you I couldn’t see?”

Throughout the film, Neelofar guides Mansoor to view the world differently, lifting his creative block and allowing him to flourish as a writer.

As the story progresses, Mansoor becomes more distant and proud, admitting:

“I only became a philosopher and chased success so that I could pull women towards me.”

The trailer closes with a gut-wrenching moment showing Neelofar before a mirror, crying and slapping herself. Her voice overlays the credits with:

“So you came closer to me, because I couldn’t see you?”

The trailer ends with Mansoor continuing: “Her name is Neelofar.”

With a compelling soundtrack by Zeeshan Ali, Neelofar promises a romance that blends heartbreak, self-discovery, and a pure exploration of human connection.

The film will premiere in cinemas on November 28, 2025, offering audiences a poetic and emotionally immersive cinematic experience.
