Simone Ashley drew attention at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium after fans noticed her sitting with Emma Raducanu during England rugby’s clash with New Zealand.
The British actress, known for her work in Bridgerton and Sex Education, joined the tennis star as England pushed for a landmark win.
For the sporting event, Simone opted for a vibrant red cosy jumper while Emma showed her support in an ankle-skimming skirt and black fitted top.
On social media, fans were surprised to see the famous faces watching the rugby together.
One person asked: “Was it Simone Ashley with Emma Raducanu???”
Another added: “Emma Raducanu is at the rugby with Simone Ashley, nice.”
The pair hugged as England secured a 33-19 victory.
It was England’s tenth win in a row and their first against the All Blacks since 2019. The result capped a standout evening for home supporters, with Simone’s appearance adding to the buzz around the match.
Simone Ashley later appeared in England’s changing rooms with the tennis star as they celebrated the win.
They looked thrilled as they posed with some of the players and the Hillary Shield, which was awarded to England after winning the heavily contested fixture.
For Simone Ashley, it has been a busy 2025.
The actress starred in Picture This, where she played Pia, a photographer studio owner who searches for a date for her sister’s wedding.
She was also set to appear in Brad Pitt’s high-octane drama F1, however, her role was cut. Simone’s role ended up being a brief appearance with no dialogue.
Director Joseph Kosinski addressed the change, saying:
“It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use.
“There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn’t make into the final cut.
“But Simone, she’s an incredible talent, incredible actress, incredible singer, and I would love to work with her again.”
Simone will next be seen in The Devil Wears Prada 2 and there is talk of her reprising her role as Kate in season four of Bridgerton but there is no confirmation yet.
Simone’s personal life has also been in the headlines, having been spotted kissing American businessman Tim Sykes at the US Open.
