"It's time for me to blow this whole place up!"
The trailer for Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller, Dhurandhar, has been released, featuring some of Indian cinema’s greatest stalwarts.
In a tale of men hungry for power and position, the film narrates a story soaked in blood and action.
Ranveer Singh plays the titular character, but he is not the only superstar in these ranks.
Through the trailer, the audience is also introduced to SP Chaudhary Aslam (Sanjay Dutt) and Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna).
Ajay Sanyal (R Madhavan) and Major Iqbal ISI (Arjun Rampal) leave lasting impressions, too.
The trailer for Dhurandhar begins with Iqbal standing over a bloodied body.
In a chilling voice, he says: “After the 1971 war, there was an atmosphere of gloom in Pakistan.
“I was six years old, listening to the radio.
“At that time, Zia-ul-Haq said something that I never forgot.
“Bleed India with a thousand cuts. Just like these countless, tiny incisions in his body.
“I will make that country suffer a fate worse than this.
“But for now, let’s begin with this.”
Major Iqbal ISI is introduced by a voiceover declaring: “Without his consent, not even a bird can flap its wings in the Pakistani government.
“Whomever Major Iqbal decides to be benevolent to, their destiny changes instantly.”
After breathtaking shots of soldiers, helicopters, and rugged terrain, we see a fleeting glimpse of Ranveer’s character.
Then, the trailer cuts to R Madhavan’s Ajay Sanyal.
With determination, Ajay says: “Sir, to land a punch, you must first make a fist.
“We must infiltrate the very core of terrorism in Pakistan.
“So, even if they think of harming India in their sleep, they should see only us in their dreams.”
The Dhurandhar trailer then shows Ranveer’s formidable avatar again through guns, action, and a beautiful young woman who appears to be his love interest in the film.
A menacing Rehman Dakait, brought to life by Akshaye Khanna, growls:
“Do not make the mistake of forgetting the promise that was made.
“Death by Rehman Dakait’s hands is very barbaric.”
A character then tells Ranveer: “A long time ago, a devil and a jinn had fantastic sex.
“Nine months later, the result was named Chaudhary Aslam.”
Sanjay Dutt becomes Chaudhary Aslam. He is seen mercilessly shooting a gun.
He proclaims: “If you stab me in the back, I will make you a widower before killing you.
“And Jameel Sahab, you a castrated wimp!”
In shots of more weapons and fire, Ranveer’s character snarls:
“If you all are done playing with your firecrackers, it’s time for me to blow this whole place up!”
The trailer received positive responses from fans.
One commented: “This is how you make a trailer.
“A four-minute trailer without revealing any details about the main story and then making you jump out of your chair. Peak editing.
“Waiting for this movie.”
Another said: “This movie has the potential to break records and set new milestones with the crazy cast.”
Dhurandhar is scheduled to be released on December 5, 2025.
