The first three episodes of The Traitors Season 2 have arrived on Amazon Prime Video, delivering drama and deception from the very start.

Hosted by Karan Johar, the new season wasted absolutely no time in plunging its celebrity contestants into the game’s signature tension.

The biggest talking point from the opening episodes has been the shock elimination of comedian and entertainer Munawar Faruqui.

Tensions reached a peak at the very first Circle of Shaq, where Munawar openly accused Mallika Sherawat of being one of the hidden traitors.

However, several other contestants turned the spotlight onto Munawar himself, accusing him of playing the game like a traitor throughout.

The accusations gained enough momentum, and Munawar ultimately received the highest number of votes in the Circle of Shaq, sealing his fate.

His elimination was particularly striking because the real traitors in the game were actually Kullu, Krystle D’Souza and Harman Singha.

Shahneel Gill was subsequently recruited as the fourth traitor by the group in the second episode, expanding the hidden alliance further.

After being voted out, Munawar walked to the centre of the room and delivered an emotional and defiant speech to his fellow contestants.

He said: “I had expected this to happen to me. I knew I would have to face it.

“This often happens to me. It is not the first time.

“This is not the first time that I have been targeted.

“Call me a soft target or someone too good to be there.

“I can clearly see through the insecurities of other people, and you will see how you end up looking.

“Because your insecurities will be visible.

“You approached me as a friend and heard me out, but now you wrote my name here. Thank you for that.”

When host Karan Johar asked him to reveal whether he had been a traitor or an innocent, Munawar became visibly emotional.

He said: “F*** off, guys! I was playing the game!

“I wanted to play it well! I am an innocent!

“F*** off, insecure bunch of people. They thought I would eat them up here.”

“They are all scared. Now recognise who is the one amongst you.”

His raw and unfiltered exit immediately became one of the most talked-about moments from the show’s opening episodes.

Fans across social media have been divided over his elimination, with many expressing frustration that an innocent player was voted out.

Munawar was not the only contestant to exit the game during the opening stretch of the new season’s dramatic early episodes.

Veteran actor Dalip Tahil was also out of the game on the very first day after a twist left him with the least number of gold coins.

Karan Singh Magic also became the first contestant to be murdered by the traitors.
