"Brother, there are threats to kill me."
The joint appearance of Elvish Yadav and Munawar Faruqui at ISPL 2024 has ignited a storm of controversy.
It all started when YouTuber Sagar Thakur, better known as Maxtern, posted a video, mocking Elvish and Munawar’s friendship.
In another video, Maxtern claimed that he was attacked by Elvish and a group of men in Gurugram, adding that Elvish threatened to kill him.
Posting a video of himself with a swollen lip, Maxtern claimed:
“Brother, there are threats to kill me. I was alone then. There were many people with Elvish Bhai.
“I will upload the full video tomorrow morning. All to see what happened. We have all the recordings.
“I’m okay, just got hurt just here (lip). This also came after loading with 8 people.”
The saga began when Maxtern shared a video from the ISPL 2024 event featuring Yadav and Faruqui.
He captioned it: “Elvish Yadav and Munawar love story?”
In another video, Elvish Yadav expressed his frustration and said:
“Every man is a hypocrite. Mind your own business.”
The pair went back and forth, with a WhatsApp exchange appearing to show Elvish and Maxtern organising a meetup in Gurugram.

On social media, fans reacted to the apparent feud between Maxtern and Elvish, with one writing:
“Did you go to fight? Fighting by making all these videos and then posting them is so shameless.”
Another called for the authorities to take notice of the alleged incident.
Some urged Maxtern to upload the full video while others believed it was actually a publicity stunt for a new video.
Maxtern’s mockery of Elvish and Munawar’s friendship and the subsequent alleged threat has shed light on the darker side of influencer culture.
Meanwhile, Elvish Yadav has addressed the trolling he received for his camaraderie with Munawar.
Hitting back at the haters, Elvish said:
“It was a charity match, everyone was doing everything sportingly, how can anyone expect me to bring personal hate and play spoil sport?
“Everyone was chilling so was I.”
The incident underscores the need for responsible social media conduct and respectful dialogue, especially in the context of public figures’ interactions.
Maxtern’s allegations raise concerns about online safety and accountability.
As the controversy continues to unfold, it prompts reflection on the broader implications of online interactions and the importance of fostering a culture of respect and civility in digital spaces.
