The video reportedly depicted scenes of snake interaction
Elvish Yadav has once again found himself embroiled in controversy.
A case has been registered against him and singer Rahul Yadav, known as Fazilpuria.
They are allegedly accused of using prohibited snakes and using abusive language during the shooting of their song titled ’32 Bore’, which was filmed in 2023.
The FIR has been filed under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Badshahpur Police Station in Gurugram.
Satish Deshwal, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Badshahpur Police Station, confirmed the registration of the FIR.
He stated: “We have received an order from the court that an FIR should be registered against Elvish Yadav and singer Fazilpuria under section 156(3).
“An FIR has been registered under sections of the IPC, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and Wildlife Protection Act.”
The complaint alleged that Elvish Yadav, along with approximately 50 others, had used prohibited snakes.
The video reportedly depicted scenes of snake interaction filmed in a Gurgaon mall, indicating additional unlawful activities by Elvish Yadav and unidentified individuals.
The controversy surrounding Elvish Yadav escalated when animal rights activist Saurabh Gupta filed a plea in court.
He alleged the illegal use of snakes in the music video.
Saurabh Gupta is associated with People for Animals, an organisation run by BJP MP Maneka Gandhi.
He claimed that the video showcased Yadav and others engaging in unlawful activities, including the use of prohibited snakes.
The police have stated that further investigation will be conducted.
Notices will be sent to the accused individuals for their statements.
This isn’t the first legal issue Elvish has faced recently.
He was previously arrested by the Noida Police in connection with the supply of snake venom at rave parties.
However, he was granted bail by the Gautam Buddha Nagar District Court after five days of custody.
Despite the legal challenges, Elvish Yadav continues to remain active on social media.
In his first statement after his prison release, he said:
“The one week that went by, no doubt was a very bad phase of life.
“What to talk about the time I was inside (jail). Let’s start a new chapter on a positive note.
“All those who supported me didn’t support me, talked badly or well about me, thanks to all. I can only thank everyone. I am back to my work.”
Addressing his time in jail, Elvish said it was “part of life”.
