"Don’t worry I have more tricks in my hat."
Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has labelled her co-star Varun Dhawan a “brat” and a “copycat” in her latest Instagram post.
The pair are gearing up for their film, Coolie No. 1 (2020) helmed by Varun’s father and producer David Dhawan.
Coolie No. 1 is the remake of the Dhawan’s own hit 1995 namesake film. The original film starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles.
The film also featured Kader Khan, Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Shakti Kapoor in supporting roles.
Coolie No. 1 (1995) revolves around the story of Raju (Govinda) who poses as a wealthy man to woo Malti (Karisma).
However, Raju is really a coolie who is working for matchmaker Shaadiram Gharjode (Sadashiv Amrapurkar).
The matchmaker was humiliated by Hoshiyar Chand (Kader Khan) after informing him about a family who wants to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage.
This led him to devise his plan against Hoshiyar who wants his daughters to marry wealthy and influential men.
The upcoming film features a new cast ensemble including Jaaved Jaaferi, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever and Shikha Talsania.
Leading actors Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dawan have begun promoting their forthcoming film.
Sara took to her Instagram account to share pictures of herself with Varun Dhawan.
The actress is seen wearing a red and blue chequered off-the-shoulder midi dress with ruched belt detailing. She paired the look with red stiletto heels.
Varun is donning a yellow and blue chequered shirt with a white tee, distressed grey denim jeans and black boots.
In her caption, Sara referred to Varun as a brat and a copycat. She wrote:
“Varun Dhawan is a brat. Shayari chor, copy cat.”
“Don’t worry I have more tricks in my hat. I’m the OG poetess – you forgot that!”
Coolie No. 1 was initially scheduled to release on May 1, 2020, in India. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was later rescheduled to release on Christmas Day on Amazon Prime Video.
As well as Coolie No. 1, Varun Dhawan has multiple films in the pipeline.
These include Bhediya with Kriti Sanon, a biopic film about the life of Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and another untitled film with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan has Atrangi Re lined up. She will star alongside actors Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. The film is expected to release on Valentine’s Day in 2021.
