“Prayers for sister Rubina Ashraf who is in ICU"
Renowned Pakistani TV actress Rubina Ashraf tested positive for Coronavirus. She was shifted to an intensive care unit after her condition reportedly deteriorated.
The 60-year-old tested positive for the virus on June 3, 2020.
Rubina had previously experienced symptoms such as breathing issues so she decided to get tested.
After finding out that she had contracted the virus, she began self-isolating. However, it was reported that her condition worsened and she was taken to a private hospital.
Pakistani actor Syed Sajid Hasan posted a message on Twitter, giving details of Rubina’s condition.
He wrote: “Prayers for sister Rubina Ashraf who is in ICU due to Covid… may Allah have mercy on us and the world… Ameen.”
However, he later gave an update on the situation, saying that he spoke to Rubina’s husband who said that she was getting better.
Syed said: “She is getting better… spoke to her hubby. Allah is most merciful.”
Members of the Pakistani entertainment industry wished for Rubina’s speedy recovery and urged their social media followers to pray for her.
Actor and producer Humayun Saeed said: “Please pray for Rubina Ashraf. May Allah grant her good health and quick recovery.”

Muhammad Ahmad, Sana Javed and other celebrities also wished for Rubina’s speedy recovery.
Rubina Ashraf is known for her TV roles but she has also directed a number of TV shows. She came into the spotlight with the drama serial Kasak.
She went on to feature in many other dramas like Ishq Ki Inteha.
Rubina has also directed shows. She directed the popular TV series Ruswai.
News of Rubina testing positive for Coronavirus has come amid several actors testing positive.
Sakina Samo experienced symptoms of the virus and after testing positive, she quarantined herself at her home. Meanwhile, her family will be tested.
One high-profile case included the cast of the TV series Mera Dil Mera Dushman.
Yasir Nawaz and Alizeh Shah have reportedly contracted the virus. In addition, Yasir’s wife and TV host Nida Yasir and Alizeh’s fiance Noaman Sami also have Covid-19.
Nida had been filming her morning show, Good Morning Pakistan where the cast of Mera Dil Mera Dushman appeared as guests.
This included Yasir, Naveed Raza, Ailzeh, Noaman and Anam Tanveer.
After the cast members tested positive, it was reported that several crew members on the sets of both shows had also tested positive.
The news attracted a lot of attention on social media, with many saying that the spread was due to shoots continuing in the middle of the pandemic.
