"you have no right to question others.”

Renowned Pakistani senior actress Rubina Ashraf recently shared her thoughts on senior actors criticising their juniors.

She recently graced Fuchsia Magazine’s talk show, hosted by Rabia Mughni.

During the conversation, she emphasised the importance of constructive feedback.

Rubina Ashraf stressed that senior actors should be thoughtful when critiquing younger stars, as mere commentary on their craft is insufficient.

They must also be prepared to provide logical answers to support their criticism, otherwise, they forfeit their right to give such comments.

She said: “You raised a question, then you should also have all the answers.

“And if you do not have any answer, then you have no right to question others.”

Rubina Ashraf acknowledged the senior actors in the industry as elders who are meant to guide and teach the younger generation.

She expressed her respect for her seniors and the valuable lessons she has learned from them.

Rubina shared: “We did not have any training grounds and even today there are none.

“The younger actors are doing amazing jobs. They are all self-taught.”

The conversation then shifted to her latest project, Kya Drama Hai.

Rubina explained that she has always desired to work on a project where she could point out mistakes in actors’ craft and offer guidance.

However, Rubina Ashraf admitted that the show has not been well-received by fellow actors.

Despite this, she remains committed to sharing her expertise and promoting growth in the industry.

The topic of senior actors critiquing younger actors has been a subject of discussion in the industry. Two instances involved Waseem Abbas and Nadia Afgan.

They publicly slammed the acting skills of lead actors in popular dramas like Tere Bin and Ishq Murshid.

Rubina’s comments have sparked a conversation among fans and industry professionals alike.

A user wrote: “Very well said. Rubina is a humble person who recognises the struggles actors go through.

“She does not look down on others, which is very professional of her.”

Another said: “Someone should tell seniors to stop being so arrogant. Good job Rubina Ashraf.”

However, others criticised her:

One questioned: “How can you criticise other dramas like this? Have you looked at your latest dramas? They are so pathetic and disgusting.”

Another asked: “You choose the most terrible roles for yourself and you criticise others?”
