Bollywood stars have expressed their shock and grief over the passing of renowned Hollywood actor, Chadwick Boseman.

Bollywood celebrities have taken to social media to pay tributes to Hollywood actor Chadwick Boseman who passed away from colon cancer at the age of 43.

The late Hollywood actor had been suffering from a four-year battle with colon cancer since his diagnosis in 2016.

He passed away at his residence surrounded by his nearest and dearest.

A host of Bollywood stars including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anupam Kher, Ranveer Singh and many more expressed their grief online.

Chadwick Boseman was renowned for his 2018 ground-breaking American superhero film, Black Panther.

The film was based on the namesake Marvel Comics character.

Despite his ongoing battle, Boseman never openly discussed his condition in the media.

Instead, he continued to strive through his condition and carried on working in major Hollywood productions.

This was all while he was between chemotherapy and various operations, according to a statement by his family.

The tribute statement, which was shared on the late actor’s Twitter account read:

“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.

“Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.

“A true fighter, Chadwick preserved through it all, and bought you many of the films you have come to love so much.

“From Marshall to Da 3 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.

“It was the honour of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.

“He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.

“The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

Chadwick Boseman’s death certainly came as a shock to many of his fans. Anupam Kher tweeted:

“Deeply saddened to know about the sad demise of #BlackPanther actor #ChadwickBoseman at such a young age.

“Apart from being a very fine actor, he was a humble man with an infectious smile. My condolences to his family, friends & fans!”

Arjun Kapoor took to his Instagram stories to express his grief. He wrote:

“@ChadwickBoseman u were so graceful & dignified on screen to know u battled cancer for 4 years quietly and work thru it makes me respect you off it as well … rest well… #WakandaForever.”

Sharing a picture from Black Panther, actor Varun Dhawan also shared: “RIP Wakanda forever.”

Thanking the late star for his “wonderful memories”, Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh tweeted:

“#ChadwickBosemanForever Thank you for all the wonderful memories that I made & continue to make with my children.

“You will live on, in our hearts forever #KingTchalla Rest in Peace.”

Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh expressed his shock saying:

“No Way Man … Gone too soon. Fav. Super Hero #BlackPanther.”

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan also shared a picture of Chadwick Boseman with the caption: “RIP Legend.”

Many other Bollywood stars shared their condolences. These include Esha Gupta, Neha Dhupia and Disha Patani just to name a few.
