Varun Dhawan announced that he and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed a baby girl.
Taking to Instagram, Varun posted a short clip.
Underneath, he wrote: “Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby.”
In the actual video, a short message read: “We are overjoyed with this new blessing in our lives.
“During this special time, we request the media to give us our privacy.
“Thank you for your support and understanding.”
Many people rushed to Instagram to congratulate Varun Dhawan and Natasha.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas wrote: “Congratulations! Wohooo!”
Abhishek Bachchan added: “What wonderful news! Congratulations!”
Keerthy Suresh said: “Congratulations! Sending all the love to you both and the little angel.”
Karan Johar, who launched Varun in Student of the Year (2012) wrote a message on his Instagram Story.
The filmmaker said: “My baby had a baby girl! I am over the moon!
“Congratulations to the proud mama and papa!
“Love you, Natasha and Varun.”
In February 2024, Varun and Natasha announced that they were expecting their first child.
The couple got married in 2021, but have known each other for over 10 years.
Natasha said: “Varun and I were in school together.
“We stayed friends until we were in our mid-20s and then, I remember, we started dating just before I moved away.
“It was around then that, I think, we realised we were more than just good friends.”
In a previous interview, Varun also highlighted Natasha’s support towards him. He said:
“When I and Natasha are concerned, eventually after we get married and we are together and all that stuff, she has her own individuality and that is why I am with her.
“She has her own voice, which is super strong with things she wants to do and achieve in life and as her partner, that is something I want to support.
“She has been very supportive of my career since day one. I have known her since school. We were friends then.
“Since day one she has been supportive of my dreams. It has to be the same.”
“From my side, I have to be supportive of her dreams.
“Eventually, as a couple, you want to evolve together.”
On the work front, Varun Dhawan was last seen in a cameo appearance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
He will next be seen in Baby John.
