Rishi Singh wins 'Indian Idol 13'

After winning the show, Rishi Singh revealed:

“Actually I couldn’t control my tears when my name was announced as the winner as the aura of a reality show like Indian Idol is unmatchable.

“Plus I had worked really hard.

“When I participated in the show, it was with a mindset to stay till the end. Even though I became popular on social media from early on, the competition was really tough, especially with my co-contestant Deboshmita Roy, who is also the first runner-up.

“So, I always thought that anybody could be the winner!”

On what he will do with the prize money, Rishi Singh said:

“I want to travel internationally to learn and develop my music further with this money. An artist always keeps on learning.

“I want international exposure now. I want to grow to an extent that I come back as a judge on the show someday.

“Meanwhile, I have got many playback offers during the show, which I will be pursuing along with my music video.”
