Has the Winner of Indian Idol 13 been Leaked?

There is speculation that the winner of Indian Idol 13 has been leaked.

The popular singing show has gone on for seven months and has seen a number of excellent performances.

But it has now reached its final stage, with a two-day finale starting on April 1, 2023.

Aditya Narayan hosts the show while the performances are judged by Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani.

According to reports, Jai Bhanushali and Tina Datta will be guest stars on the show, promoting their upcoming television series Hum Rahe ya Na Rahe Hum.

They will talk about their upcoming show and will also bring some fun activities for the finalists.

Shivam Singh, Rishi Singh, Deboshmita Roy, Sonakshi Kar, Chirag Kotwal and Bidipta Chakraborty are the six finalists competing for the Indian Idol 13 crown.

Although the winner will not be announced until April 2, the winner’s name has seemingly been leaked.

A picture of Chirag Kotwal holding the Indian Idol trophy and winner’s cheque has circulated in the contestant’s hometown of Jammu and Kashmir, along with the comment:

“Congratulations to Chirag Kotwal. Winner of Indian Idol 13. Proud moment for us. Congratulations bhai.”

Despite the picture’s circulation, it was quickly debunked as a fake image.

In reality, a user had photoshopped an image of Indian Idol 10 winner Salman Ali with Chirag’s head.

A source close to the show told Filmibeat:

“The rumour of Chirag winning Indian Idol 13 is all rubbish.

“How can anyone announce the winner’s name when the grand finale shoot is yet to be completed?

“Expect the unexpected at the finale as the makers have planned new twists and turns along with power-packed performances.”

Although the picture was quickly identified as a fake, social media users are convinced that Rishi Singh is the winner.

Rishi has impressed the judges and fans with his performance and has always caught eyeballs because of his unique voice.

Abbas Mastan has also offered to sing a song for him.

Labelling Indian Idol 13 fixed, one user said:

“Sony TV, I mean wtf man… best singer of this season Senjuti Das is not in the finale. Are you guys serious?

“She is even better than your so-called fixed winner Rishi Singh.”

Another agreed: “Both the Gujarati Himesh and Dadlani gave less marks to Senjuti which facilitated her exit from the show. A deserving contestant, she should have been in the final.

“Instead, Rishi Singh should have been out of the show. But from the very beginning, he is being groomed by them.”

Another user posted the apparent order that the contestants will finish in, with Rishi at the top.

Meanwhile, one user claimed that the show is being fixed for Rishi to win for political purposes, writing:

“Indian Idol 13 winner may be Rishi Singh to create hype for the 2024 election.”
