At the trailer launch for Singham Again, Ranveer Singh appeared to announce his baby’s debut in the film.
The trailer launch in Mumbai was a star-studded one as the lengthy clip revealed Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Ravi Kishan.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh get into action mode as Shakti Shetty and Inspector Sangram ‘Simmba’ Bhalerao respectively.
Throughout the trailer, the pair have some funny dialogue.
Tiger Shroff’s character battles villains while Akshay Kumar’s DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, makes an impactful entrance.
Fans can expect Rohit Shetty’s signature style of burning houses, toppling cars and fight scenes.
Singham Again takes inspiration from the Ramayana.
It revolves around the titular character’s wife Avni (Kareena) being kidnapped by Arjun Kapoor.
In his mission to rescue his wife, Singham teams up with a group of allies.
Together, this dynamic crew sets off on an exciting adventure that promises to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
With a 4-minute 45-second-long trailer, Singham Again has the longest trailer in Hindi cinema history.
At the trailer launch event, Ranveer spoke about becoming a new father and announced that his baby daughter will supposedly make her acting debut in the film.
It was speculated that Deepika would make her first post-birth appearance at the trailer launch, however, she remained home to look after the newborn.
He said: “Deepika is busy with the baby, so it’s just me who could come.
“My baby duties are for the night.”
Speaking about Singham Again, Ranveer announced:
“Along with all the stars you will see in the film, you will also see our baby Simmba making her debut because Deepika was pregnant while shooting for the film.”
Wishing the audience a Happy Diwali, he added:
“I wish y’all a Happy Diwali on behalf of Lady Singham and baby Simmba.”
“Please enjoy the movie this Diwali in theatres with your family.”
Singham Again marks the return of Kareena Kapoor to the Singham franchise.
It is heavily rumoured that Salman Khan will have a cameo as his Dabangg character Chulbul Pandey.
Singham Again releases in cinemas on November 1, 2024, where it will clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The Kartik Aaryan-led horror-comedy will see the return of Vidya Balan as Manjulika.
