"Insanely beautiful and stunning."
It is official that Bollywood’s power couple fondly known of as ‘DeepVeer’ are now officially married.
B-town has been a-buzz since reports first surfaced that the two were engaged to be wed.
Followed by the details that the couple were going to skip town for their nuptials to Lake Como, Italy, as is becoming the trend.
Actresses like Rani Mukherjee and Anushka Sharma also opted for destination weddings, prior to DeepVeer’s shaadi.
We take a look a the ceremonies, the bride’s wedding looks, visuals of the groom and highlights of a much anticipated wedding of two popular stars from Bollywood.
The Venue
With this visual and video footage, we can see the Italian Lake Como location the bride and groom opted for their nuptials.
With a sepia glow across the villa, it’s clear to see why these Bollywood heartthrobs picked this location.
Aside from being secluded, it’s visually stunning. It has lots of greenery, decadent architecture, high stone walls, balconies and all by the waterfront.
It looked absolutely breath-taking.
The sandstone setting was the perfect backdrop for this couple, as a distinct dress code appeared to be in action.
The actual wedding ceremony venue had an offset of greenery with white roses studded between winding pillars.
A very demure and classic style of decoration, which went beautifully with the building’s structure.

The Konkani Ceremony
Dashing hero Ranveer Singh has been known for his eccentric wardrobe choices.
Which made everyone wonder would this be reflected on the wedding day, with another zany look?
This was not the case, Ranveer appeared very calm and happy in his dashing white and gold sherwani.
There appeared to be some intricate work done with the embroidery, as to be expected with any Sabyasachi creation.
The groom kept his look traditional, clean and regal. A Prince fit to marry Bollywood’s Queen.
It appeared the whole baraat followed this trend of white or cream, with gold accents for the colour palette.
Both families were seen sporting similar colours and the designer of the couple’s wedding looks has been confirmed as Sabyasachi.
The gajra flower in Ranveer’s sister, Ritika Bhavnani’s hair was a classic touch.
She sported an up-do with a heavily embroidered lehenga which appears to have some stunning border work – another Sabyasachi trademark.
We know the designer and the bride are close, so it came as no surprise, that Sabyasachi was the creative mind behind the wedding ensembles for DeepVeer.
Deepika’s sister much like Ranveer’s sister opted for a white and gold ensemble with an updo and gajra flowers in her hair.
The mother of the bride wore a saree with a Banarsi border and she too had gajra flowers in an updo in her hair.
It appears that all the women at the wedding sported the classical Indian gajra and the men wore varying styles of white sherwanis and kurtas.
Setting the stage perfectly for Deepika to make her entrance.
The Bride and her Mehendi
Shots of Deepika having her mehndi on her hands with relatives were released on social media by the couple after the wedding.
The first image of the bride and groom at their Konkani wedding ceremony was released by Deepika on social media and then many other images followed.
According to Konkani wedding rituals, the bride often wears a red saree with yellow or gold embroidered work.
Deepika’s bridal look has now been unveiled, with the bride wearing a red and gold saree with a stunning and hefty matta patthi headpiece.
Deepika kept her makeup very simple and natural, with a simple red bindi adorning her forehead.
The bride was so striking against the sea of creams, whites and gold.
The look of pure joy and love on both the bride and groom’s face is heartwarming.
The pair looked exceptionally regal.
The tikka ceremony on each of their foreheads sealed their union as part of the ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony, there is a gorgeous picture of the couple where Deepika is feeding Ranveer food lovingly at the wedding.
The Sindhi Ceremony
The Sindhi ceremony took place on November 15, 2018, to acknowledge Ranveer’s family traditions.
As if they planned it, Ranveer Singh posted an image of this ceremony on his social media.
The baraat were all wearing red, with Ranveer wearing a red and gold printed sherwani.
He opted for red, clear and green haars (necklaces) to offset his ensemble. Deepika opted for a traditional look.
Her red lehenga had heavy border work. As well as, a beautifully embroidered dupatta, which appears to have a border of writing, just before the fringed border.
The Hindi blessing is, ‘Sada Saubhyagyavati Bhava’ which in English translates to mean a wish; that the couple stays blessed and happy and for all evil to be warded away from the husband.
A sentimental touch to her bridal garb, this was a traditional twist many didn’t expect from Deepika.
Deepika also wore the traditional choora (red bridal bangles) and a statement naath (nose ring) as is a staple for Sabyasachi brides.
Sabyasachi designed the couple’s Sindhi ceremony looks also.
With Deepika looking every bit the quintessential Desi bride with this look.
The baraat was noted to be very lively playing a host of loud and popular 90s Bollywood songs, very much to Ranveer’s taste, as they approached the venue.
Dancing like any Desi wedding included moves by Ranveer with fellow guests.
They arrived via the lake, on a yacht nonetheless.
Grandeur and glamour to boot, this Italian destination wedding has been everything we expected and more.
Many Bollywood actors and actresses rushed to congratulate the couple.
Bajirao Mastani (2015) co-star, Priyanka Chopra, who commented about the couple:
“Insanely beautiful and stunning.”
The DeepVeer wedding ceremony and celebrations in Italy, without doubt, kept their promise of a colourful and vibrant wedding with the couple stealing the limelight.
