"Congratulations. God bless the baby and the family."
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl.
The couple announced the news on Instagram on Saturday with a post showing a baby-sized footprint and the caption “Welcome baby girl”.
It was signed “Dua, Deepika and Ranveer”, alongside an evil eye emoji traditionally used to ward off negative energy.
The baby is a younger sister to Dua, who was born on September 8, 2024. Deepika and Ranveer also announced their first daughter’s arrival on Instagram.
The couple had been seen arriving at a Mumbai hospital with their families a day before announcing Dua’s birth.
Colleagues from the entertainment industry were quick to congratulate the couple in the comments following the latest announcement.
Neil Nitin Mukesh commented: “Congratulations. God bless the baby and the family.”
Vicky Kaushal wrote: “God bless! Congratulations.”
Sophie Choudry said: “Awwww!!! Huge congratulations!!
“Blessed with another princess! Sending you guys sooo much love.”
The announcement comes just over a week after the Bollywood couple shared intimate black-and-white maternity photos alongside Dua.
In a low-key Instagram post, Deepika and Ranveer announced they were expecting their second child in April 2026.
The photograph showed Dua holding a positive pregnancy test, while the caption featured only evil eye emojis.

Deepika has previously spoken about how motherhood has changed her and affected her outlook on life.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, she said motherhood had pushed her out of her comfort zone and made her more emotionally and socially open.
“Now I’m playing my best role.”
In 2013, Deepika Padukone said she hoped to have three children and a happy family while continuing to work:
“If I was not an actor, I don’t know what I would’ve been doing.
“But hopefully with some children around. Three little kids scuttling about.”
“Hopefully, be working enough to take them to shoots, have a happy family. And at the same time, still doing what I’m doing.”
Ranveer also previously spoke about having children in 2021:
“As you guys know, I am married and may have kids in the next two or three years. Bro, your sister-in-law (Deepika) was such a cute baby.
“I see her baby photos every day and tell her, give me one baby like this one, my life will be set.”
Deepika and Ranveer began dating after meeting on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013.
The couple married on November 14, 2018, and have since welcomed two daughters.
