Rohit Shetty has officially confirmed that Golmaal 5 will hit theatres on January 8, 2027, ending months of fan speculation.
The announcement came on September 19, 2026, via a motion poster shared on Instagram.
The poster features the iconic gang squeezed into a three-wheeler as they make their chaotic way along a winding hill road.
Shetty wrote alongside the announcement: “Laughter, fun, joy, happiness and family… bas, nothing else. 8th Jan 2027.”
The fifth instalment brings back Ajay Devgn along with the familiar ensemble that has defined the series across its previous four films.
Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Tusshar Kapoor all return to their beloved roles.
Sharman Joshi is also set to reprise his character, while Akshay Kumar and Priyamani join the franchise as new additions.
Akshay Kumar’s inclusion in the Golmaal universe is among the most eagerly anticipated aspects of the fifth film for fans.
Golmaal 5 went on floors in Mumbai in February 2026, beginning production on what is one of Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchises.

The director had earlier expressed that he and the team were beginning a new journey with Golmaal 5.
The Golmaal franchise began with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006, a film that set the template for everything that followed.
Golmaal Returns followed in 2008, with Golmaal 3 arriving in 2010 and the massively successful Golmaal Again in 2017.
Each instalment strengthened the bond between the franchise and its audience.
Devgn, Warsi, Kapoor, Talpade and Kemmu have each become beloved fixtures whose return to the franchise feels like a celebration for fans.
