A video of Salman Khan apparently scolding his driver amid a chaotic crowd has gone viral, sparking a divided online reaction.
The incident occurred when Salman visited politician Ashish Shelar’s residence to seek blessings during the ongoing Ganpati celebrations.
A massive crowd of fans mobbed the star upon arrival, making it extremely difficult for him to even leave the venue.
The viral video shows fans surrounding Salman’s car in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the actor as he prepared to leave.
His security team visibly struggled to manage and control the enormous crowd that had gathered around the vehicle.
Amid the chaos, as the driver attempted to move the car through the crowd, a fan’s foot allegedly came under the vehicle.
Paparazzi present at the scene could be heard asking the driver to move the car slightly backwards as the fan cried out in pain.
Salman appeared visibly angry in the footage and was seen hitting the driver’s hand while seemingly scolding him over the incident.
He then directed the driver to move the car away from the crowd as the situation around the vehicle continued to grow chaotic.
The video divided fans sharply, with some initially calling the actor’s behaviour rude while others praised him.
One comment read: “This video makes me proud as a fan of Salman Bhai.”
Another fan wrote: “He is the most humble superstar.”
However, a section of viewers criticised the actor, calling him “hypocritical and egoistic” for hitting his driver and scolding him.
The video of the driver incident was not the only footage from Salman’s Ganpati visit to generate significant attention and discussion online.
Earlier clips showed the crowd making it extremely difficult for Salman to even navigate his way toward his waiting car.
Fans went into a frenzy trying to get close to the star.
The situation prompted Salman to fold his hands in a request for them to make way for him.
When the situation showed little sign of improving, a frustrated Salman eventually pushed through and made his way toward the car himself.

Several videos also captured him being jostled and pushed around by the crowd as his security team worked to create a path.
One particularly touching moment from the same visit showed a young child approaching Salman through the crowd in an attempt to shake hands.
The actor obliged warmly and also stepped in to stop his security personnel from pushing the child away.
He ensured the child was safely escorted out of the crush before finally getting into his car.
On the professional front, Salman is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20 while simultaneously shooting for his upcoming action thriller SVC63.
Salman Khan also has Maatrubhumi in the pipeline, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, which has since been postponed without any new release date.
