"The title is announced here first."

Rana Daggubati has revealed that he will be producing a horror film titled Scary Picture.

He made the surprise announcement at HorrorCon India 2026, held in New Delhi on Halloween.

The film will be directed by Telugu filmmaker and actor Ravi Babu, who is known for offbeat films.

Kangana Ranaut will star in the project, and she made the news official on Instagram.

Videos from the event show Rana announcing his next project on stage.

A glimpse of the title on screen confirmed the name of the film for the audience.

The title suggests that the film will be made in Hindi.

Rana’s production house has yet to make an official announcement about the project.

Kangana reposted a video from an Instagram page in which the actor and filmmaker reveal the film.

Rana spoke about the film at the event and described it as a horror project.

“So, it’s a horror film. It’s by a director called Ravi Babu, who is a friend of mine.

“He’s made multiple horror films in Telugu. And this is his first Hindi feature.”

“The title is announced here first. It went to no Hindi press; this is the first time we’re putting the intimation up.”

Ravi Babu is the son of late veteran Telugu actor Chalapathi Rao.

He has worked as an actor since 1998 and as a director since 2002.

He is known for an unconventional, genre-bending, and experimental style of filmmaking.

His films do not always deliver box office results, but they stand out for their offbeat quality.

Kangana is currently busy as the MP of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

She has been juggling both politics and films since she won the election as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

She last starred in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata in 2026, which she also produced.

The film received mixed reviews and collected 8 crore worldwide.

It is currently streaming on Zee5 for audiences who missed it in theatres.

Kangana’s last Hindi-language horror film was Raaz: The Mystery Continues in 2009.

In 2023, she starred in the Tamil horror comedy Chandramukhi 2.

The actor and politician also has a bilingual film titled Circle in the pipeline.

She also has Queen 2 lined up as part of her upcoming slate.

Interestingly, Kangana Ranaut will reportedly star in another horror film as well.

That project is her Hollywood debut, titled Blessed Be The Evil.
