"Her lack of focus affected the shots’ quality"
Sonam Kapoor appeared to hit back at Rana Daggubati in a cryptic post.
The apparent feud started at a pre-release event of King of Kotha, which stars Rana and Dulquer Salmaan.
During the event, Rana praised Dulquer’s calm attitude and claimed a Bollywood star had wasted his time on set but he remained understanding.
Rana said: “Dulquer was my junior at acting school. We became friends there. He is a very polite person.
“He’s doing a Hindi movie and the producers are my friends. The shoot was happening near my house. I went there to meet Dulquer.
“While he was standing in the corner with the spot boy, a big Hindi heroine who was doing that movie was engrossed in a phone conversation about shopping in London with her husband.
“Her lack of focus affected the shots’ quality, frustrating those on set.
“Despite the disruptions caused by the situation, Dulquer remained patient and understanding, defusing tension and maintaining a harmonious environment.”
Fans quickly speculated that Rana was talking about Sonam Kapoor, highlighting that she co-starred with Dulquer in The Zoya Factor.
It was also pointed out that Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja live in London.
Many people subsequently criticised Sonam for her alleged behaviour, prompting Rana to issue an apology to the actress.
Also apologising to Dulquer, Rana wrote on X:
“I am genuinely troubled by the negativity that has been aimed at Sonam due to my comments, that are totally untrue and were meant entirely in a light-hearted manner.
“As friends, we often exchange playful banter, and I deeply regret that my words have been misinterpreted.
“I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt apologies to Sonam and Dulquer, both of whom I hold in great esteem.
“I hope this clarification puts an end to any speculation and misunderstanding. Thank you for your understanding.”

But it seemed Sonam was not convinced by Rana’s apology and appeared to hit back at the actor.
She shared a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt that read:
“Small minds discuss people. Average minds discuss events. Great minds discuss ideas.”
Sonam added: “Just a little something I’d like some people to know. Especially when discussing things about people that are made up.”
On the work front, Sonam Kapoor is coming off the release of Blind, which sees the actress play a blind woman who is the sole witness to a crime.
The film released to negative reviews, with Sonam’s performance being criticised.
