Priyanka Chopra reveals care for Mental Health in Lockdown

Covid-19 and lockdowns have been tough for everybody. Priyanka Chopra revealed how she took care of her mental health during the time.

Priyanka Chopra has opened up about how she took care of her mental health during her time in lockdown.

The actress spent it with her husband Nick Jonas in the United States.

The couple shared pictures and videos of themselves keeping busy during their time indoors.

During the lockdown period, Priyanka completed and released her memoir, titled Unfinished, and it has been a massive success, reaching The New York Times Best Seller list.

Priyanka Chopra has now revealed how she took care of her mental health.

She admitted that like many others, she sat on the sofa and binge-watched TV shows for hours.

However, it lasted less than two weeks.

The actress recalled: “After that, I was like, ‘Alright, gotta find a sense of purpose to stay sane’.

“I think a couple of things that really worked for my sanity and my mental health were, one, having a sense of purpose every given day, deciding that I’m going to work on something that’s larger than myself, which is outside of myself.

“Second, to surround myself with people that I love.

“So I had my husband, my dogs, whenever I could include people in my bubble, but also staying in touch with family and friends, taking the time to put someone on Facetime and do whatever you’re doing and just chat.

“I think that talking instead of just binge-watching TV has been really, really been helpful for me.”

Priyanka went on to say that she used to be someone who was not consistent with her workout regime, admitting that she would come up with excuses to skip the gym.

But during the lockdown, she made sure to work out. Now, she works out at least four times a week.

Priyanka continued: “Especially with lockdown, we’ve learned how to do easy workouts at home, which don’t require a gym or a treadmill or a reformer, and it makes such a difference.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to making excuses again.”

While Covid-19 has hindered a lot of industries, including entertainment, Priyanka Chopra has been busy with various projects.

She has finished filming the likes of Text For You and the fourth instalment of The Matrix.

Priyanka is currently filming her upcoming series Citadel. Priyanka also recently opened her New York restaurant.
