"I publish the same STEM videos on both YouTube and Pornhub."
Texas-based YouTuber Zara Dar has revealed that she is using adult video sites to post her lectures about AI, maths and science.
The internet personality made headlines in December 2024 when she revealed she was quitting her PhD to become a full-time OnlyFans creator.
Zara was a former advocate for women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
As well as creating content on OnlyFans, Zara continues to post science and maths lectures on YouTube.
She has also found a way to increase her revenue, albeit in an unconventional manner.
In a post on X, Zara revealed that she posts the exact same lectures on Pornhub and surprisingly earns more revenue on the adult website.
She wrote: “People may not know this, but I publish the same STEM videos on both YouTube and Pornhub.
“While YouTube generally generates more views, the ad revenue per 1 million views on Pornhub is nearly three times higher.”
Zara’s post included two screenshots on ‘What is a Neural Network?’ posted on YouTube and Pornhub.
On YouTube, the video has over 980,000 views while on Pornhub, it has 32,000. But Zara claimed she made $1,000 per million views on Pornhub and only $340 on YouTube.
She later shared that her post comparing ad revenue per views on the two websites was also uploaded onto LinkedIn.
However, after her post went viral, it resulted in her LinkedIn account being blocked.
Zara complained: “I shared the same post on X and LinkedIn comparing the ad revenue I typically earn per view on YouTube versus Pornhub, where I upload my STEM videos.
“While the post went semi-viral on LinkedIn with many Top Voices reaching out to me, my account was unexpectedly blocked without prior notice!”
Zara Dar explained that her decision to quit her PhD was down to the drawbacks of working in academia.
She said: “I’ve cried so much over this decision to quit my PhD because it’s a stressful decision, not that I’m particularly sad.
“Moving on to doing OnlyFans and content creation full-time it’s not just a career choice it feels kind of like a gamble on the direction of my entire life.”
Speaking about OnlyFans, Zara Dar said the platform and others have “the power to change lives for the better.
She added: “I am excited to continue contributing to this movement in the years ahead.”
