“She did the right thing by confronting him immediately.”
Nimra Mehra was forced to stop her performance in Sheikhupura after a disruptive fan shone a green laser.
The incident occurred during a concert, where the young man repeatedly aimed the flashing beam directly into her eyes, distracting the singer mid-performance.
Visibly upset, Nimra stopped singing and addressed the audience, demanding immediate action against the person disturbing her performance.
She said: “Whosoever is doing this cheap stunt of throwing a green light into my eyes, get lost.”
Nimra then instructed security officials to remove the individual responsible, stressing that the disruptive behaviour had been occurring for some time.
Her firm response was captured on video and quickly spread across social media platforms, sparking widespread debate and drawing public attention.
Many fans supported Nimra’s decision to halt the concert, praising her courage for confronting dangerous behaviour in front of thousands.
One fan wrote: “She did the right thing by confronting him immediately.”
This troubling episode, however, is not the first time misbehaviour from Pakistani audiences has disrupted high-profile musical performances.
Pakistani concerts have faced several episodes of audience misconduct even recently.
Previously, a Young Stunners concert turned chaotic after a rowdy attendee threw a bottle towards the stage.
Moreover, the audience started climbing the stage, and it collapsed, due to which Young Stunners had to be escorted to safety.
That event was widely criticised, with many questioning why concert organisers had failed to maintain adequate crowd control measures.
In January 2024, another disturbing episode unfolded during Bilal Saeed’s performance.
Sections of the audience misbehaved relentlessly throughout the concert.
The situation escalated so severely that Bilal threw his microphone toward the crowd and stormed off the stage entirely.
Although he later apologised for walking off the stage, his fans believe it was the audience’s fault.

These repeated disruptions have raised concerns among fans, artists, and industry professionals about the misconduct at live music events.
A user said: “If this continues, Pakistani singers will stop doing live concerts.”
Another commented:
“First Young Stunners and now Nimra Mehra. This public doesn’t deserve concerts.”
One remarked: “And with these faces they demand that international artists visit and perform in their country.”
Many argued that organisers must implement stronger security protocols and take stricter action against individuals who disrupt performances.
