“I wish such people would disappear"

Nadia Khan has responded to online trolls and ageist comments.

In a recent beauty vlog on her YouTube channel, she addressed the backlash over her statement about skincare in the forties.

Talking about the incident, Nadia said: “Once I said in the show that it is very important to have a good skin regime in the forties.

“But some people made fun of my statement and assumed that I was saying that I am 40.

“They joked about my statement and age, not realising that the forties represent an entire decade, from 40 to 49.

“But we can’t do anything about such social media trolls; they will always say bad things about others.

“I wish such people would disappear; just ignore them, and it is very important to have a good skin regime in the forties and fifties.”

This is not the first time that Nadia Khan has faced ageist remarks.

Actress and model Shizza Khan took a jab at Nadia during a live television appearance, suggesting she might be experiencing a “mid-life crisis”.

Shizza remarked: I have seen her sitting on television and criticising other projects.

“After that one incident, I have stopped watching that show.

“There were three of our senior actresses on it. One of them is currently going through a middle-age crisis right now.

“I used to watch Nadia when I was a child and Nadia used to sing weird birthday wish songs.”

Following this, Shizza laughed and mimicked Nadia’s actions, mocking her as the host and other guests joined in, laughing.

Reacting to the comments, Nadia said: “It was her job doing that and imagine how bad she must have felt doing it herself.”

The remarks drew a mixed reaction online. Some netizens agreed with Shizza’s comments, accusing Nadia of being overly critical of others.

However, there were others who condemned Shizza for making ageist remarks and mocking a senior actress.

The laughter and mimicry on live television were seen as disrespectful by many, sparking debates about professionalism and mutual respect.

A user said: “Very bad. I think you are also about to go through that age.”

Another questioned:

“This is so rude. You are sitting there, poking fun at someone. Do you call this a show?”

One remarked: “I don’t know who watches these shows and who the heck invites guests like you on it.”

Amidst all the trolling, Nadia Khan remains undeterred, focusing on self-care and positivity, setting an example for others in the industry.
