The pre-release event for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana made headlines for multiple reasons, with MrBeast’s attendance being the most talked-about moment.
The world’s most-subscribed individual YouTuber, Jimmy Donaldson, attended a press event held in Mumbai alongside the film’s principal cast.
MrBeast was seen posing with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey at the event, and the images quickly spread across social media.
One particularly charming moment from the event has since gone viral, capturing an interaction between Ranbir and the American content creator.
Ranbir was seen gently asking MrBeast to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’, to which the YouTuber agreed and greeted everyone present to loud and enthusiastic cheers.
Ranbir also took a moment to explain the meaning and significance of the term to MrBeast, with the two engaging warmly in conversation.
However, the event also attracted significant criticism over a chaotic and poorly managed press session.
The promotional gathering had been scheduled to begin at 1.30 pm but faced a prolonged delay of over four hours before proceedings actually commenced.
The organising team failed to provide any schedule updates for more than two hours, leaving journalists waiting without any communication.
It was eventually revealed that MrBeast had been delayed after missing his private flight, contributing to the significant disruption of the schedule.
As frustration mounted among the attending media, the publicity team reportedly informed journalists that they were free to leave if they wished.

Upon being told that members of the media were walking out, Ranbir Kapoor reportedly remarked:
“If you people want to leave, you can leave.”
The press session, which had originally been planned to run for an hour, ultimately concluded in under ten minutes.
Neither the production team nor the event organisers issued any formal apology for the extended delay or the mismanagement.
During the brief on-stage segment that did take place, Ranbir Kapoor symbolically lifted a prop Shiv Dhanush and offered prayers.
Producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey were all present at the event.
Ramayana is based on sage Valmiki’s ancient epic and features Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita.
Kannada star Yash makes his Hindi cinema debut in the formidable role of Ravana, one of the most eagerly anticipated casting choices.
Ramayana has been billed as the most expensive Indian film ever made, conceived as a two-part cinematic adaptation of unprecedented scale and ambition.
The project is jointly funded by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations, with the first instalment scheduled for a Diwali 2026 theatrical release.
The second part of the epic is slated for a 2027 release, with an English-language edit also planned for international markets.
The film’s musical score marks a collaboration between Academy Award-winner Hans Zimmer and Indian composer AR Rahman.
Despite the chaotic press event, fan anticipation for Ramayana remains at an extraordinary level ahead of its Diwali release.
