"We celebrate the beginning of a new era."
After a long wait filled with speculation, the makers of Ramayana have finally announced its release date.
The announcement came on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, which began on October 11, 2026.
The Nitesh Tiwari-directed film will now hit theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026.
This release date falls just three days before the festival of Diwali.
Announcing the release date, the makers shared a brand new poster featuring the film’s lead cast.
The poster features Yash as Ravana appearing prominently in the background.
Ranbir Kapoor appears as Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi portrays the role of Sita.
Ravi Dubey also appears in the poster, portraying the character of Lakshman.
The makers also announced that bookings for the film will open on Dussehra.
This means bookings will officially begin on October 20, 2026, for eager fans.
The caption of the post read: “On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, we celebrate the beginning of a new era.
“Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai.
“Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana Part 1: In cinemas WORLDWIDE, across all premium formats, from 5th November.
“Advance bookings open on Dussehra.”
Fans have expressed immense excitement following the film’s official release date announcement online.
One comment read: “Super duper excited.”
Another said: “I can’t wait.”
One wrote: “Peak is coming.”
Another user jokingly remarked: “Our Diwali is on November 5.”
Earlier reports had suggested that the film might release in India two days after its international release.
However, the latest announcement has clarified this confusion for fans across the country.
The makers confirmed that Ramayana will now release in India on the same day worldwide.
Earlier, the film’s producer, Namit Malhotra, had spoken about the planned release timeline.
He had said the film would release in India around Diwali without confirming an exact date.
He explained the reasoning behind the international release timing at the time.
“It will release in India on Diwali.
“We are releasing internationally because the international distribution works from a Friday standpoint, which is the 6th of November.
“But in India, currently, we are targeting the Diwali release.”
With the new announcement, the makers have now settled all speculation around the release date.
Fans across India and worldwide can now look forward to experiencing the film together.
The film is expected to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the year.
Anticipation continues to build as the November 5 release date draws closer for audiences everywhere.
