Hareem Farooq Says 'Mango Jutt' Is For All Of Pakistan f

"For me, it is already a success."

Hareem Farooq says her upcoming film Mango Jutt is meant for audiences across all of Pakistan.

The Punjabi-language film is not intended only for Punjabi-speaking viewers, according to the actor.

The film is set to release in theatres across the country on October 16, 2026.

Farooq spoke at the film’s music launch event held in Karachi.

She said the project had been a challenging yet rewarding experience throughout its making.

The actress added that bringing the film to the screen was already a success in itself.

She said: “My message is that people should watch this film with an open heart.

“It is for all of Pakistan. Just because it is a Punjabi film does not mean it is only for Punjab.

“It is a film for the entire country.”

The film stars Faysal Quraishi alongside Farooq in the lead roles.

It brings together action, comedy, romance and Punjabi cultural elements in one story.

Farooq said audience feedback had been encouraging as the film’s release approached.

She said expectations had risen significantly in recent weeks leading up to the release.

“The feedback is growing and expectations have become very high.

“Allah will make things work out, Insha’Allah.

“As I have said, for me, it is already a success.”

For Farooq, the film also represents an important milestone in her career as a producer.

She said visiting Karachi for the launch held particular meaning for her personally.

“I had to come to Karachi. Without Karachi, my work as a producer would not have been complete.

“A city that has given me so much love, how could I launch my production house without coming here?”

Reflecting on her experience, Farooq said the entire cast and crew worked together despite difficult conditions:

“I will be honest. Every actor who worked with me on the set gave their heart to the project.

“When we all came together, everyone would ask what needed to be done.”

She added: “We shot some very difficult scenes, worked in the heat and cold, and everyone worked extremely hard.

“We worked together as a team.”

Farooq acknowledged that production faced several challenges along the way.

She admitted there were moments when she doubted whether the film would ever be released.

“The fact that we are standing here today, celebrating it and preparing to show it to audiences, is a success for me.”

Faysal Quraishi, who plays the lead role, described the film as a family entertainer.

He said the film features romance, music, comedy and action elements together.

“We have been waiting for this like anything.

“My wife has asked me so many times when the film is coming out.”

He said the romantic elements were designed to suit family audiences specifically, saying:

“Romance does not necessarily mean that you cannot sit and watch it with your family.

“It is a little nostalgic, caring kind of romance.”

He also mentioned that consent remains an important underlying theme throughout the film.

Quraishi added: “There is laughter, humour, action and everything else.

“We have tried our best to make it an amazing movie. Now we will see how people receive it.”

Mango Jutt is directed by Abu Aleeha and features a strong supporting cast.

This cast includes Shamoon Abbasi, Qaiser Piya, Honey Albela, Hassan Murad and Ayesha Jahanzeb.
