"His daughter Raha got it first."

Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for one of the biggest events of the year currently.

The trailer launch of Ramayana represents a massive event in Indian cinema.

However, he will be making an appearance under unexpected circumstances this week.

The actor has developed conjunctivitis just days before the grand promotional event.

He is expected to wear black glasses as a precaution during the launch.

Even with the discomfort, Ranbir isn’t letting the infection get in the way.

He will attend the star-studded event in Delhi as planned originally.

A source close to the actor told important details about the infection.

The infection first affected his daughter, Raha, before spreading to him.

Like many parents who spend time caring for their children constantly, Ranbir is believed to have contracted conjunctivitis from her.

The eye infection, commonly known as pink eye, spreads easily through close contact.

It makes it common for multiple family members to get infected during outbreaks. A source said:

“Ranbir Kapoor got conjunctivitis. His daughter Raha got it first, and like any doting father, Ranbir got infected too.”

Ranbir has chosen not to skip the important event despite physical discomfort.

“As Team Ramayana is all set for the massive Pratham Sankalp at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, RK, who is always known for fulfilling his commitments, will be seen wearing black glasses during the event as a precaution.”

Excitement around Ramayana: Part 1 continues to build among fans and audiences.

Reportedly, the trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious mythological epic will be unveiled on July 18, 2026.

Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra will lead the star-studded event.

Several members of the cast are expected to attend the grand launch.

There is, however, no confirmation yet on whether Yash will make an appearance.

Yash stars as Ravana in this massive mythological epic film.

Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman, may also be absent from the event.

The trailer launch in Delhi is just the first stop in the promotional journey.

After the India event, the makers will head to San Diego Comic-Con.

The showcase at Comic-Con is scheduled for July 23, 2026, at the venue.

With this, Ramayana becomes only the second Indian film ever presented there.

Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Namit Malhotra are expected to be present at SDCC.
