Mathira, a renowned Pakistani host and actress, has recently expressed her strong disapproval of Momin Saqib’s recent Instagram Story.

He shared a story that he filmed within the confines of the graveyard, capturing graves.

He engaged in a reflective discourse, delving into the profound subject matter of death.

He underlined the inevitability of death, asserting that it is a universal reality transcending the boundaries of wealth, achievements, and pride.

Mathira conveyed her disapproval of the video, deeming it insensitive and imprudent.

She characterised Momin’s actions as unwise. Mathira did not mince her words as she openly criticised him, deeming his behaviour “stupid”.

She highlighted a crucial concern, emphasising that numerous individuals are presently struggling with suicidal thoughts.

Rather than focusing on the sombre aspect of death, she underscored the significance of extending support to those facing struggles.

Mathira asked for a more compassionate approach. She suggested that it is essential to guide and assist individuals in their journey towards recovery.

She believes that focusing on death can increase people’s depression and make their mental health worse.

However, many criticised Mathira for her response to Momin’s video, saying they didn’t see anything wrong with it.

They argued that, especially in the current situation, such a video was needed.

Some believed it served as a necessary reminder, especially for those who might be inclined to forget the reality of death.

According to them, bringing attention to this reality doesn’t weaken people but can provide strength.

Many of them thought that Mathira’s reaction was exaggerated, considering the video as a thought-provoking message rather than something offensive.

“I think the video was a wakeup call, especially for the people suffering from hopelessness.”

One commented: “You are okay with posting vulgar content on your Instagram and calling other people stupid for posting something so important.”

Another critiqued: “Preaching others about right and wrong while doing all kinds of shameless acts and wearing all types of vulgar clothes is so hypocritical. Shame!”

One remarked: “Someone like Mathira should see such videos, maybe she would realise that one day she too will die, and all her sins would lead to her doom.”
