Impress Telefilm Ltd’s highly anticipated feature Manusher Bagan has officially cleared the Bangladesh Film Certification Board, making it the first certified movie of 2026.
Directed by Nurul Alam Atique, the film is now set for a theatrical release, signalling the acclaimed filmmaker’s return to cinema after a period of selective projects.
Produced under the renowned Impress Telefilm banner, Manusher Bagan presents stories of people from diverse walks of life.
It weaves together narratives that reflect societal complexity and human connection.
The film includes a title song, ‘Manusher Bagan’, performed by the popular band Chirkutt.
Lyrics for the track were penned by Nahidur Rahman Anando, who previously wrote the theme song for Atique’s television series Jadur Shohor.
A few years ago, Impress Telefilm shared a visually striking poster for the film that captured public attention.
The artwork features a globe in the background with people of all ages engaged in various activities in the foreground, symbolically portraying a “garden of humans.”
The poster highlights over twenty major cast members, appearing as an artistic reinterpretation of Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper.’
Netizens praised the creative approach, noting its originality and ambition.
The film is produced by Mokhlesur Rahman Lenin.
Cinematography was handled by renowned Barkat Hossain Palash, while National Film Award-winning editor Sameer Ahmed managed the editing process.
Costume design was led by Nishat Jahan Nafiza and art direction by Rabi Dewan, ensuring a polished and detailed visual presentation.
Manusher Bagan stars Prosun Azad, Manoj Kumar, Jyotika Jyoti, Swagata, Munira Mithu, Mahmud Alam, Dipanwita Martin, and Archita Sporshia, among others.

Nurul Alam Atique rose to prominence in the early 2000s with acclaimed television fictions such as Choturtho Matra, Saikeler Dana, A Journey by Boat, and Bikol Pakhir Gaan.
