"A brand new me is ready to par-ty"
Singing sensation, Katy Perry is set to perform in India for the first time as she headlines the OnePlus Music Festival on November 16, 2019.
The OnePlus Music Festival celebrates the diversity and soul in music which transcends language barriers.
To share her delight, Katy announced in August that she will be singing in India. On Twitter she posted:
“I am so happy to be returning to India and excited to headline my first-ever performance in Mumbai.
“I am looking forward to seeing and singing with all of my Indian KatyCats at the OnePlus Music Festival.”
Katy landed in Mumbai airport during the early hours of Tuesday morning on November 12, 2019.
The singer is visiting India after seven years and she was certainly all smiles as she hit land in Mumbai.
Paparazzi were quick to snap pictures of Katy as soon as she landed.
Katy Perry aced the airport look in a casual grey hoodie and joggers. She paired the look with hoops earrings, striped slippers, a cap and sunglasses.
Katy is certainly happy and is making the most of her time in India. She has shared numerous pictures on her Instagram where she is seen posing for the camera.
Katy can be seen wearing a light pink dress with yellow polka dots. The voluminous puff sleeves are the focal point of the dress as they add drama to the outfit.
To accessorise the look, Katy wore large statement earrings and fluffy pink heels.
She had her hair tied in a high ponytail and opted for soft glam makeup with pink lips.
Alongside the images of herself, she captioned the post saying:
“They say every single cell of your body rejuvenates itself about every 7 years and it’s been 7 years since I’ve been to India so, let’s just say a brand new me is ready to par-ty at the #oneplusmusicalfestival on Nov 16thwith the cutie @dualipa. Thanks for having us.”
Singer Dua Lipa will also be joining Katy during the music festival.
Previously, Katy visited India with her then-boyfriend Russel Brand but things soon ended after their marriage.
Yet, Katy has found love with her fiance actor Orlando Bloom and is currently enjoying their adorable bond.
Bollywood actress, Jacqueline Fernandez had a fangirl moment when she met Katy Perry.
Jacqueline shared a picture of the two of them on her Instagram. She said:
“With the diva herself! @katyperry. Are you guys ready for Nov 16th?”
In the images, Jacqueline can be seen donning a black and grey fur-sleeved dress.
To complete her look, the actress has her hair tied in a high ponytail with minimal accessories and strapped heels.
Like Jacqueline, everyone is excited to see Katy Perry ignite the stage at the OnePlus Music Festival.
It’s turned out that Katy is very interested in Bollywood and eating out while in Mumbai. In a tweet Jacqueline said:
“I would love for @katyperry to try some homemade pani puri.”
