"You are making up stories."
The trailer for Kareena Kapoor’s anticipated film The Buckingham Murders was released and it shows the star as Jasmeet Bhamra.
Jasmeet is a British-Indian detective who has lost her child.
When a 10-year-old is murdered in Buckinghamshire, England, it is up to Jasmeet to solve the case.
The trailer for The Buckingham Murders begins with Jasmeet asking people:
“Where were you on November 14? Can you tell us what happened and how?
“What happened that day at the park? Tell me the truth.”
A person defiantly replies: “Do whatever the f**k you want.”
The child who was murdered is revealed to be Ishpreet Kohli.
The trailer then cuts to scenes depicting unrest and protests. A voiceover states:
“A wave of communal tensions has culminated in violence following the arrest of a Muslim teenager in connection with the death of a Sikh child in Wycombe.”
After a few scenes involving the police, a woman asks Jasmeet: “How long will you keep hounding my son for?”
Jasmeet then says: “I think we should interrogate the family.”
She goes on to exclaim: “All this doesn’t make sense!”
Jasmeet punches a detective after he says: “You need pills to make it sense.”
A senior officer orders Jasmeet: “Find the killer.”
In a voiceover, Jasmeet declares: “Saqib Chaudhary is our prime suspect.”
She is told: “Do you have any idea how much of a s**tstorm this would be?”
Jasmeet then tells someone else: “You are making up stories.”
Will she ever be able to solve the case?
