EastEnders’ Suki Panesar struggles during Dean’s Trial

Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) is set to struggle to keep it together in future episodes of EastEnders.

During Christmas 2023, Suki helped cover up the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) after he was stabbed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Linda, Suki, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), and Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) buried Keanu’s body under the cafe.

When it was discovered months later, the six women framed Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) for the murder. 

Upcoming episodes of EastEnders will show Dean’s trial for the crime begin and Suki will feel the pressure.

The instalments of the show will air a birthday party for Stacey’s granddaughter Charli Slater.

Stacey’s friend and Suki’s fiancee Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) will be expecting Suki to attend but is disappointed when the latter doesn’t show up.

This leads Eve to believe that Suki doesn’t care as she still has no idea about what Suki and Stacey have been through.

Stacey will also be seen to be anxious in the wake of the trial. This will be evident by the way she will forget to plan the party and burn the cake.

All six women will be expected to give witness statements. But under the mounting pressure, will any of them crack?

In recent episodes, viewers also saw Sharon and Linda getting anonymous texts telling them that the sender “knows the truth”.

They are unaware that the sender is Keanu’s sister, Bernadette (Clair Norris), who is determined to find out the reality of what happened to her brother.

During the climax of the Christmas storyline, the audience was initially led to believe that Suki’s ex-husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) was dead.

This was after Denise smashed a bottle over his head to stop him from attacking Suki.

However, Nish was revealed to have survived while Keanu turned up and strangled Sharon.

To save her friend, Linda plunged a meat thermometer into Keanu’s back, killing him instantly.

The storyline, known as ‘The Six’, became one of the most iconic plots of EastEnders. 

Elsewhere, Suki recently got engaged to Eve after months of struggling to be together.

In the Queen Vic pub, Suki publicly told Eve: “Eve Unwin, I love you and I’d walk through fire for you.

“And if I were to live my life again, I’d find you sooner.”

“So will you do me the greatest honour of my life and be my wife?”

Eve readily accepted and the two women finally cemented their love.

However, is the drama surrounding Dean’s trial set to tear them apart once more?
