"Ravi will come after Suki now."
In BBC’s EastEnders, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is one character not to be crossed.
Since he arrived in Walford in July 2022, Ravi has murdered, cheated, threatened, and even dangled an innocent Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) from a bridge.
The latest episode of EastEnders, broadcast on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, showed Ravi grow suspicious of Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris) and Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig).
This was because someone was embezzling money from the Panesar empire, thereby stealing the inheritance of Ravi’s children.
Along with Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) and his ex-girlfriend Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), Ravi first started pointing fingers at Bernadette.
Vicki soon discovered that Bernadette was stealing the money and she vowed to expose her.
But instead, Bernadette blamed Vicki. In an attempt to force a confession out of Vicki, Ravi locked her partner’s son Joel Marshall (Max Murray) in a freezer.
However, with help from his half-brother Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota), Ravi discovered the culprit was indeed Bernadette.
Unbeknownst to Ravi, Suki has been wary of Bernadette ever since the latter discovered that Suki helped cover up the murder of her brother Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
During Christmas 2023, Keanu was killed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and Suki all covering up the crime.
Ravi does not know about Suki’s involvement in Keanu’s murder and he believes that his dead father Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) killed the young mechanic.
As Bernadette was preparing to leave Albert Square in the latest episode, Suki prevented her from getting into a taxi.
She said: “It’s not me you need to be worried about, Bernie. Ravi is on to you, and when he gets to you, you will not be leaving the Square in a taxi.”
Linda, Denise, and Kathy also joined the confrontation and urged Bernadette to return the money she had stolen.
However, all the women were silenced when Bernadette pointed out that they all took her brother from her and insisted that the stolen money was “a drop in the ocean”.
Kathy told Suki: “It’s only money, Suki.”
Linda said: “Please, Suki. Set her free.”
Denise added: “You, of all people, should know what that feels like.”
Suki relented and allowed Bernadette to get in the taxi with her relative, Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison).
This marked Clair and Matthew’s exit from the show after they were axed by Executive Producer Ben Wadey.
However, Ravi saw Bernadette leaving and shouted after her. He then spotted Suki sharing an embrace with her wife Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace).
Ravi’s face darkened as he seemed to realise that Suki had allowed Bernadette to leave.
Will this make Ravi turn on Suki?
One user on Reddit said: “Ravi will come after Suki now.”
Another added: “I see a potential splitting/ feud between the Panesars when Ravi inevitably finds out that Suki gave away the money.
“That was so good. It was a sweet ending, especially for Suki and Bernie.”
Upcoming episodes of EastEnders will show Ravi scramble to save the Panesar empire but how will he go about things?
Due to the current Wimbledon coverage, EastEnders will not be returning to screens until Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
