Which man does Denise's heart truly lie with?
Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has become one of the most popular characters in BBC’s EastEnders.
One of his key traits is his womanising ways. The character has had several romances and relationships during his time on the Square.
Among these, Ravi infamously had a fling with married Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
In 2023, Denise was tempted to cheat on her husband, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and even met up with Ravi for a tryst in a hotel.
However, although Ravi was more than willing to sleep with her, Denise could not go through with it.
Following Denise’s rejection, Ravi developed feelings for her daughter, Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
This relationship, too, was short-lived, as Chelsea could not cope with Ravi’s philandering ways.
Denise later discovered that Ravi had murdered his adoptive father, Ranveer Gulati (Anil Goutam).
However, Ravi saw to it that she couldn’t prove anything.
Currently, Denise is single again after separating from Jack after he had an affair with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
In upcoming episodes of EastEnders, the spark between Ravi and Denise will be revisited and possibly reignited too.
The residents will gather for the wedding of George Knight (Colin Salmon) and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).
In a party mood, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) and Denise’s sister Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) will tease Denise about Ravi and Jack.
It soon becomes clear that Denise still harbours feelings for her estranged husband and her ex-fling.
When Jack sees Denise and Ravi talking, his jealousy knows no bounds.
Meanwhile, Denise is shocked when she sees Ravi’s ex-girlfriend, Priya Nandra Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), make a move on Jack.
While Denise is conflicted about her feelings for both men, Kim tries to reignite the chemistry between Ravi and her sister.
But which man does Denise’s heart truly lie with?
In February 2023, when Denise and Ravi realised their attraction, Aaron Thiara commented:
“From Ravi’s point of view, I think he feels seen by Denise.
“Internally, I think there is that magnetic attraction, and that’s playing on his mind and is why he wants to pursue Denise at whatever cost.
“There’s also the thrill of the chase that he really enjoys.”
“He also really enjoys treading on eggshells and stepping into dangerous waters with Denise being a detective’s wife.
“I think that riles him and I think he really likes that.
“Internally, Ravi feels like he and Denise really get one another.
“As the weeks go on, we start to see even more of how he opens himself up to Denise.
“But how she takes that is to be seen.”
