EastEnders’ Ravi Gulati to be part of Anniversary Public Vote

Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has been a major part of BBC’s EastEnders for nearly three years.

Since he arrived in Albert Square in July 2022, Ravi has proven to be a womaniser.

One of his many relationships has been with Denise Fox (Diane Parish).

Ravi began seducing Denise when her marriage to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) started to break down.

In 2023, Denise ultimately could no longer resist Ravi and met up with him at a hotel, but couldn’t go through having sex with him.

Ravi then began a relationship with Denise’s daughter Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) but when this failed, he turned his attention back to Denise.

Meanwhile, Jack also began an affair with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

Recent episodes of EastEnders showed Ravi and Denise rekindling their spark after Denise’s divorce from Jack was finalised. 

However, it became clear that Denise still had feelings for Jack as well as Ravi.

In the episode broadcast on Monday, December 6, 2025, Ravi admitted to Denise that he pushed his father Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) to his death.

Ravi tearfully told Denise: “I know what you’ve been through. Your life and history. 

“You deserve better than another man with blood on his hands. And this has already gone too far. 

“You deserve more than I ever can. Please, walk away from me.”

Denise emotionally left Ravi, but things are far from over. 

In 2024, EastEnders confirmed that it will air a fully live episode in February 2025 to mark the show’s 40th anniversary.

In an intriguing twist, the audience will have the chance to choose the outcome of a love story.

It has now been confirmed that this love story will be none other than the love triangle among Denise, Ravi, and Jack.

The Executive Producer of EastEnders, Chris Clenshaw, said:

“We’re all so excited to give our audience their first ever chance to decide how one of our big storylines plays out.

“Their votes will determine whether Denise picks Jack or Ravi, with the outcome being revealed as part of our live episode.

“There is a lot to come over the next few weeks for all three involved, so it’ll be extremely exciting to see which way the audience choose to take the story.”

Meanwhile, the show has also confirmed that the 40th anniversary will also feature the wedding of Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick).

Ross Kemp will also be making a hotly anticipated return as Grant Mitchell.
