Reema Khan has found herself embroiled in controversy as allegations of fraud surfaced online.

Shahid Rafiq, a Qatar-based individual, has accused the actress and her sister, Myra Khan, of defrauding him of millions.

His claims have reignited debate around the star’s reputation.

According to Shahid, the ordeal began in 2009 when he returned to Lahore from Qatar to invest in property.

Myra Khan suggested that he invest in Reema’s 2011 film Love Mein Ghum instead, promising significant returns.

Shahid transferred millions of rupees after a meeting with Reema, who later invited him to Malaysia to oversee the film’s production.

However, Shahid alleged that Myra backed out of the deal and repeatedly demanded additional funds.

He claimed that despite financing the film, he was never repaid.

An agreement was reportedly signed for the repayment, but Reema allegedly failed to honour it.

Shahid has stated that he has proof of these transactions and has lodged a legal case against Reema.

He also revealed that Reema has delayed court proceedings for over four years, refusing to make any appearances.

Shahid said: “I trusted the courts, but the delays have disappointed me.”

Social media has since erupted, with many users sympathising with Shahid and urging him to take a stronger legal stance.

This controversy comes on the heels of past claims made by renowned writer Nasir Adeeb about Reema Khan’s early career.

In a podcast, Nasir Adeeb recounted how Reema was initially considered for a film after being scouted in Lahore’s Heera Mandi.

Despite her background, Reema went on to become one of Pakistan’s most celebrated actresses.

Adeeb faced a lot of backlash for revealing Reema’s roots, claiming it was unfair to her.

Reema responded to Adeeb’s comments with dignity, posting a prayerful message on social media emphasising humility and kindness.

However, netizens are now calling out Reema for projecting a saintly image while allegedly engaging in fraudulent activities.

A user remarked:

“Reema is a drama in real life as well. She acts as if she is such a pure angel.”

Another said: “And she is posting like a saint these days.”

As the controversy continues, Reema Khan’s reputation faces scrutiny.

Fans and critics alike are waiting for further developments in this high-profile case.
