The cast and crew will disregard the losing script.
It is an exciting time for fans of BBC’s EastEnders as the soap gears up to celebrate its 40th anniversary in February 2025.
It was recently announced that, to mark the milestone, the show would include viewer interaction in their storylines for the first time.
Viewers will be given the opportunity to vote for the outcome of the love triangle among Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
Denise is currently in a secret relationship with Ravi after being drawn back to him following her divorce from Jack.
However, it became clear that Denise had feelings for both men.
If you want to see Denise choose Ravi in EastEnders, here’s how you can make it happen.
The show will be going live on February 20, 2025, following an hour-long episode on Wednesday, February 19.
The fully live episode will include Denise making the choice between Ravi and Jack and will change the lives in Albert Square forever.
To access the vote, EastEnders viewers must have a BBC account. You can register for one here, on or before February 19.
The vote will officially open here at 8.30 pm on February 19.
It will close at 7.10 pm on February 20 so the result can be incorporated into the episode broadcast live at 7.30 pm.
Once the votes are in, the result will be handed to the Executive Producer of EastEnders, Chris Clenshaw.
In a short time, the cast and crew will disregard the losing script and quickly prepare to translate the public vote onscreen.
Not only picking the suitor for Denise, fans will also be able to make another decision which will go down in EastEnders history.
To celebrate the anniversary further, the BBC will be airing a documentary titled EastEnders: 40 Years On The Square, hosted by Ross Kemp.
Ross is also due to reprise his iconic role of Grant Mitchell for a short stint.
BBC Three will also host a 45-minute interview special titled EastEnders Revealed: The Lock In with several stars. It will be presented by Mickey Miller actor Joe Swash.
Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that Denise and Ravi’s passionate affair would be exposed to their families in upcoming episodes.
While Ravi’s son Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) is aware of his father’s new fling, he is less than pleased about it.
Ravi and Denise soon get passionate at No 20 Albert Square, but Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris) mistakenly believes that a burglar has broken into the house.
Diane Parish revealed: “It happens on the street, in front of absolutely everybody, all the Panesars and all the Fox-Trueman-Brannings.”
Ravi previously had an unsuccessful relationship with Denise’s daughter, Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams), and one of her main reasons for keeping her affair secret was not wanting to upset Chelsea.
Diane continued: “The main thought in Denise’s mind is, ‘What have I done to my daughter?’
“Yes, it’s embarrassing and humiliating, and everyone can see them, but she mostly cares about Chelsea.”
“She also thinks, ‘Oh God, what have I done to Jack?’
“And Scott Maslen plays the devastation on Jack’s face so beautifully.
“Denise told Jack she was seeing someone else, but for him to find out it’s Ravi at this moment, just when Jack was feeling optimistic about them, is horrible.”
Do you want to see Denise with Ravi or do you want her to reunite with Jack? In February 2025, that decision will be in your hands!
EastEnders continues on Monday, February 3, 2025.
