Will they get their happy ever after?
Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) are one of the most popular couples in BBC’s EastEnders.
The pair have faced many hurdles in their journey to be together.
These included Suki’s initial struggle to accept her sexuality and the arrival of her abusive husband, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
In recent episodes of EastEnders, Suki believed she was finally free of Nish when he falsely pled guilty to murdering Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
However, Nish made an unexpected return and staged an armed escape from prison.
Nish is currently living in a squat, and his only ally is his grandson, Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury).
Suki and Eve are busy preparing for their wedding, which is due to take place during New Year 2025.
However, Nish is determined to ensure that their nuptials do not go ahead.
In an interview, Heather Peace, who plays Eve, promised chaotic scenes for Suki and Eve.
She said: “Suki is the love of her life, and it’s the start of forever for Eve.
“The start of forever with a clear road and no lies. It’s a dream come true, definitely.”
When asked to describe the wedding in three words, Heather replied: “Love, chaos and romance.”
Heather also delved into Eve’s wedding outfit. She said:
“We worked really closely, myself and Balvinder, with design and all of the wardrobe department.
“It was a real collaborative project. Eve’s outfit – she would always wear a suit, but Suki’s outfit was so stunning that we felt we had to up it a little bit with some sparkles.
“We wanted it to look like a fairy tale, and I think that the costume department absolutely excelled with that.”
“I wanted to stay within the world of Eve with the trousers and the flat shoes, but a slight little feminine twist with the halter neck underneath the jacket.
“I was really pleased with it. I wanted a feather in my lapel to match the colour of Suki’s dress, and I found a little peacock feather, and it was absolutely perfect.
“If you look up peacock feathers, they have all sorts of references that we really felt resonated with Suki and Eve.”
In true EastEnders fashion, it’s safe to say that Eve and Suki’s wedding will be filled with drama and distraction.
