"She does not make good choices."
US election candidate Kamala Harris has been in the headlines, but not only for her political position.
The Vice President was recently called out for one of her old tweets. In the message, she thanked Diddy.
Known as Diddy, the American rapper Sean Combs was indicted by a federal grand jury in September 2024.
He was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering.
Netizens criticised Harris for her tweet in 2020 when the politician tweeted:
“Thank you, Diddy, for hosting this town hall last night. There’s a lot at stake for our communities right now.
“And it’s critical we bring to the forefront how coronavirus is perpetuating racial inequality and health disparities.”
One user reacted to the tweet and said: “We know she was at these Diddy parties.”
Another wrote: “You can tell she does not make good choices.”
A third person questioned: “Should someone being considered for POTUS be looked at closely for the company she keeps?”
A fourth user sarcastically asked: “How much baby oil was involved, Kamala?”
Thank you, @Diddy, for hosting this town hall last night. There’s a lot at stake for our communities right now, and it’s critical we bring to the forefront how coronavirus is perpetuating racial inequality and health disparities.https://t.co/mPFYcIhsFD

In September 2024, a photograph circulated on social media purporting to show Harris with Diddy in 2001.
However, in reality, Harris posed with Montel Williams. Montel briefly dated her at that time.
The talk show host hit back at the altered photograph and stated: “Here they go again, with ‘all black people look alike’.”
Diddy pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
The allegations of sexual assault began in 2023 when over 11 lawsuits were filed accusing the rapper of abuse.
The musician is alleged to have run enterprises involving narcotics, kidnapping, arson, and bribery.
In recent years, this is not the first such case to arise within the music industry.
In 2019, the R&B singer R Kelly was also arrested for crimes related to racketeering, bribery, and child pornography.
It was also proven in court that Kelly married the singer Aaliyah when he was 27 years old and she was 15.
Kelly is currently serving a 31-year prison sentence.
The R&B singer wrote songs for various artists, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Hudson, and Lady Gaga.
Diddy was denied bail and is currently being held on remand as he awaits trial.
In December 2023, he tweeted: “I did not do any of the awful things being alleged.
“I will fight for my name, my family, and the truth.”
However, in May 2024, surveillance footage showed Diddy physically assaulting his former partner Cassie Ventura, for which the rapper publicly apologised.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris was recently in the headlines due to her father allegedly calling her “a travesty”.
In the US election, her main opponent is former US President Donald Trump, who served in office from 2017 to 2021.
