"Thank you Kamala for the nice picture you sent"
Donald Trump posted a photo of Kamala Harris wearing a sari alongside her family in a new jibe at her racial heritage.
This comes after Trump said the Vice President had “turned Black” and said he was not aware of her mixed heritage until only a few years ago.
Trump questioned whether Ms Harris is Indian or Black at a convention hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago.
He said: “She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage.
“I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black, and now she wants to be known as black.
“So I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?
“I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden she made a turn, and she went – she became a Black person.
“I think somebody should look into that too.”
Ms Harris condemned his comments as “the same old show of divisiveness and disrespect”.
The White House said they were “repulsive and insulting”.
Donald Trump has continued to question Ms Harris’ racial identity, posting an old picture of her and her family on his Truth Social account.

Trump captioned the post: “Thank you Kamala for the nice picture you sent from many years ago!
“Your warmth, friendship, and love of your Indian Heritage are very much appreciated.”
Kamala Harris’ ethnic identity has become a focal point in the ongoing US presidential election campaign.
Republican Vivek Ramaswamy has also accused Ms Harris of using her Indian roots selectively.
Ms Harris began her presidential campaign after President Joe Biden withdrew his bid.
She has always identified as both Black and Asian. Ms Harris is the first person who is both Black and Asian-American to serve as Vice President.
Since starting her presidential campaign on July 21, 2024, she has faced numerous sexist and racist attacks online, with some far-right accounts questioning her racial identity.
Kamala Harris was born to immigrant parents – a Black father and an Indian mother.
Her father, Donald Harris, was from Jamaica, and her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, who immigrated to the US from Chennai in 1958.
