Director Tushar Hiranandani is gearing up for another exciting biopic after Saand Ki Aankh, which was released in 2019.
According to a source close to the development, his next directorial is a biopic on visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla.
The film will feature Rajkummar Rao in the lead role of the industrialist.
Sources said the film is expected to go on floors by end of November 2022.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar, the film is expected to have two female leads.
According to reports, Jyothika and Alaya F have been signed on to play two key roles in this untitled biopic.
The source close to the development said: “The prep work on the film has been going on for a while now and the team is all set to take the film on floors in a fortnight.
“The story rides on three principal characters, played by Rajkummar Rao, Jyothika, and Alaya F, who have also been doing some workshops and ice-breaking sessions over the last few weeks.”
The source added: “While Rajkummar is playing the titular role, the details of Jyothika and Alaya F have been kept under wraps for now.”
Meanwhile, the script of this yet-untitled biopic is written by Sumit Purohit and Jagdeep Sindhu.
The script will take the audience through the inspiring journey of Srikanth Bolla, the founder of Bollant Industries.
Bolla hails from a small village in Andhra Pradesh and rose like a phoenix despite facing several adversities.
Tushar Hiranandani’s film will also include the court battle with the state of Andhra Pradesh after class 10 opts for the science stream.
He also became the first international blind student to study at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
The film, tentatively titled Srikanth Bolla, is expected to release in 2023.
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao’s film Monica, O My Darling recently released on Netflix.
The film, directed by Vasan Bala, also stars Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte, and Sikandar Kher in key roles.
The actor will also be seen in Sharan Sharma’s Mr And Mrs Mahi, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor.
Jyothika, an actress predominantly from the Tamil Film Industry, has acted in several successful films like Kushi, Kaakha Kaakha, Chandramukhi, and Mozhi.
Her next release Kaathal – The Core, alongside Malayalam superstar Mammootty, went on the floors at the beginning of November 2022.
On the other hand, Alaya F is gearing up for the release of Freddy.
She made her acting debut in the Hindi film industry with Jawani Jaaneman alongside Saif Ali Khan.
