Hira Khan revealed that she was asked to wear revealing clothes for an audition in what appeared to be a casting fraud.

The Pakistani actress stirred up discussions by shedding light on an incident involving inappropriate demands during an audition process.

In an interview circulating online, Hira disclosed a troubling encounter.

She explained that a well-known casting director asked her to audition late at night and to come wearing short clothes.

The incident came when a colleague recommended Hira to audition for an upcoming drama under this director, who was known for scouting fresh talents.

Upon reaching out to him, Hira was taken aback by his demands.

Instead of inquiring about her portfolio or previous work, the director swiftly proposed an audition.

Hira revealed: “He did not ask for my work at all. He asked for 2 pictures from me.

“The man said that it will not be on the base of past work. We will record an audition and it will be on the base of that only.”

Hira recounted how she proposed a practical 3 pm time for the audition. But he insisted on her coming at 11 pm.

She continued: “I told him I could come for the audition at 3 pm but he insisted that I arrive at 11 pm and wear short clothes for the audition.”

A shocked Hira refused, explaining that she doesn’t wear revealing outfits on-screen nor attend auditions so late at night.

The director allegedly reassured her that the audition would be private, only for the producers and himself to see.

She recalled:

“I said I can not wear such attire on screen so what’s the point of this audition?”

“He told me not to worry at all. I then cut the call.”

Resolute in her principles, Hira declined the unsettling proposition and later confided in another industry director.

He warned her that such demands often signal scams and deceitful practices.

“After this, I contacted another director in the industry. He confirmed that it is not the director they were talking about. This is some scam.”

Hira Khan’s unsettling experience serves as a stark reminder to Pakistani actresses about the potential dangers lurking in the industry.
