Hina Khan is all set to return to the Cannes Film Festival after making her debut at the festival in 2019.

The actress had attended the prestigious festival in 2019 for the poster launch of Hussein Khan’s Lines.

Hina will now walk the red carpet again for the poster launch of her upcoming Indo-English film, Country of Blind.

It has been reported that Hina has already started preparing for Cannes and will leave for the festival soon.

A source said: “Hina’s Indo-English film Country of Blind is all set for a poster launch at the Cannes Film Festival and hence Hina will be seen again on the Cannes red carpet.

“She walked not once but twice on the red carpet and was appreciated for both her looks which were so different from each other.

“Many celebrities and the entire industry cheered for Hina’s journey and her hard work as she represented India at the biggest film festival worldwide.

“Hina and her whole film team are extremely excited to launch the poster of their film at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Just like the last time, Hina will make sure that her fashion game is on point and has already begun work on that front.”

Cannes Film Festival runs from May 17 to May 28, 2022.

The red carpet will be a gala event for the Indian audience as Indian celebrities are set to walk there as part of the Indian delegation on the festival’s opening day.

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur will lead the delegation from India to Cannes.

The list of celebrities will also comprise stars from major music industries across India.

The delegation will include R Madhavan, Akshay Kumar, AR Rahman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pooja Hegde and Nayanthara along with CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and music composer Ricky Rej amongst others.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone was spotted at Mumbai Airport as she left for the festival.

The actress is part of the coveted jury at the festival.

At Cannes 2019, Hina Khan met Priyanka Chopra. She later opened up about the meeting:

“She knew everything. About the movie, why I was here, everything. That’s why she invited me to the party when I was there.

“She introduced me to everyone as the ‘star’ from India.

“She did not mention television or films, she just said an Indian star, and I was overwhelmed. She didn’t have to do it but she did.”
