Television star Hina Khan is to make her Bollywood debut. Making the transition to film, Hina will take a break from her role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

Television actress Hina Khan is all set to make her debut in Bollywood.

The TV sensation has so far had a successful career in television, having appeared in drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (2009) for 7 years.

She is starring in television series Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2018) at the moment.

Adding to her success, Hina was a contestant in Bigg Boss 11 (2017) where she came runner-up to winner Shilpa Shinde.

The reality-tv show gave Hina a huge popularity boost, gaining many fans along the way. But now it looks like Hina is ready to make the transition from television to film, with her Bollywood debut.

Hussain Khan is the director of the film in which Hina will be starring. Shakti Singh and Rahat Kazmi are writers of the movie, with the latter also producing the new venture.

The popular star posting an inspirational message on Instagram, alongside a picture of herself, wrote:

“Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.”

Alluding to her film debut, Khan also put a hashtag of #NewBeginnings in the caption.

Hina did later officially confirm her association with the film and spoke about the story. The Srinagar born star told Times of India:

“It’s a female-centric story. I also love the fact that it’s set in a time and place, where we are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, technology, daily rush and competition.”

Hina went on to share her excitement about her debut in the film. She said:

“I am also thrilled about challenging myself in a brand new medium.”

Khan has also reportedly learnt how to ride a bike and already been practising on the streets at night.

Upon hearing the news of Hina debuting in Bollywood, her loyal fans got the actress trending on Twitter in India.

Khan’s fans who call themselves ‘Hinaholics’ rushed to social media to share their excitement. A fan on Twitter said:

“Ohh my my, you are trendsetter darling, you just announced your Bollywood debut and look #HinaKhan started trending in India.

You are so powerful my girl. Keep rocking. So happy for you. All the best hina khan.”

Whilst another fan on Twitter tweeted:

“#HinaKhan is trending! Trend setter baby @eyehinakhan. Hina please don’t forget us (old fans) when you’ll become a Bollywood star & will have a lot of new fans.”

The actress gained tremendous support during her stint on Bigg Boss 11 (2017).

The glamorous star shared a controversial dynamic with eventual winner Shilpa Shinde.

She has garnered over 4 million followers on Instagram, making her an influential personality.

Whilst Khan is shooting for her debut film, she is taking a break from Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2018).

Hina plays the role of Komolika in the hit drama series.

Fans of the show need not to though, as Hina will be back once ger film shooting completes.

On her absence from the show, Hina told Times of India:

“I had prior commitments and the production house was informed about it before I even signed on to play Komolika.

“Since the show hasn’t even completed six months, the makers didn’t want my track to start and then disappear for a bit. I will start shooting immediately after my film’s shoot.”

There is no release date or name for the Hussain Khan film featuring Hina alongside veteran actor Farida Jalal.

After a successful television career thus far, it looks like Hina Khan is set to take Bollywood by storm.
