A video recently went viral showing Pakistani actor Meera engaged in a physical altercation with a member of her household staff.
The grainy CCTV footage circulated rapidly across social media, drawing significant public attention and sparking widespread debate online.
Police have since confirmed that the incident shown in the footage actually took place back in June, 2026.
A spokesperson for the Deputy Inspector General of Operations in Lahore confirmed that the matter had already been fully investigated.
Both Meera and the domestic worker, identified as Yasmeen, were summoned for questioning by police.
The spokesperson confirmed that Yasmeen had told the police the matter had been fully resolved between herself and the actor.
Yasmeen reportedly told police she neither wanted to file a complaint nor initiate any kind of legal action against Meera.
The spokesperson confirmed that Yasmeen’s written and video statements from the time of the investigation had been made part of the official record.
Meera had also filed a complaint against Yasmeen for alleged theft, claiming items including a bag and clothes had been taken from her home.
Police confirmed that the actor subsequently withdrew her complaint after the items in question were returned to her satisfaction.
The police enquiry ultimately concluded that the two parties had resolved the matter among themselves without any formal legal proceedings.

However, after the CCTV footage began circulating online, a second video emerged showing a woman with visible scars on her face.
She asked for her attacker to be imprisoned but notably did not name Meera.

A third video then surfaced, featuring a woman at a police station who introduced herself directly as Yasmeen and said she worked for Meera.
In that video, Yasmeen stated clearly that nothing untoward had occurred between herself and the actor.
She directly addressed the viral footage and claimed the original video circulating online was fabricated and created using artificial intelligence.
“Nothing like this happened between the two of us. There was no fight.”
She further stated that she continued to work at Meera’s house and that their professional relationship remained intact.
