"I was hit so badly that my tooth broke."
Preet Singh from Splitsvilla Season 16 was recently assaulted at a Mumbai club, leaving her with severe facial injuries.
The reality television star shared a video on her Instagram showing her bruised face and a very broken tooth.
She shared the following details: “I have always heard that Mumbai is one of the safest cities for girls, but I never imagined it would welcome me like this.
“Even as I write this, I’m shivering, my eyes are swollen, my face is bruised, and I’m still trying to process what happened.”
While enjoying time with a friend, a girl suddenly started shouting and questioning their presence inside the city club.
The situation turned horrific when the male friend of the said girl stepped in and physically assaulted the two.
Preet later discovered that the woman involved in the confrontation is a well-known social media person or influencer.
The violence only stopped when other people at the venue intervened to help the victims during the night.
She added: “What began as a verbal argument quickly turned into something horrific when her male friend stepped in and physically assaulted us.
“I was hit so badly that my tooth broke and my face swelled up.
“It was only when people intervened that the situation stopped.
“Later, I got to know that the girl is a so called influencer.
“I’m still in shock that something like this could happen so openly. No one deserves to go through this.”
Her close friend Zalak Gohil commented on the post: “That night was a nightmare for us. I know what Preet went through, and it takes real courage to speak about it.
“I truly hope no one ever has to experience something like this again.”
Another contestant named Ruru Thakur expressed her shock and told the actress that she is a very strong woman.
Ruru wrote: “This is so sick. Hope you’re doing well. Can’t even imagine. Pls take care. You’re a strong, strong woman.”
Himanshu Arora also reached out and asked the reality star to take care of herself and call him soon.
Himanshu wrote: “Preet please take care of yourself, if you need anything, give me a call.”
Preet Singh was a contestant on the popular show Splitsvilla Season 16, which is currently streaming on the platform JioHotstar.
She was recently eliminated from the show after her pairing with Vishu Bajaj failed to become an ideal match.
The reality drama is hosted by Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra and features many intense segments and challenging tasks.
