Actor Meera recently made headlines after a controversial podcast appearance with host Irshad Bhatti for her film Psycho.

The veteran star showcased remarkable grace as she faced intrusive questions about her private life during the interview.

Fans across social media platforms have lauded her dignified response and her eventual decision to exit the uncomfortable interview.

Meera initially joined the program to promote her upcoming psychological thriller, Psycho, which arrives during Eid-ul-Azha.

However, the host shifted the conversation toward old scandals and personal relationships involving high-profile figures like Humayun Saeed.

Irshad Bhatti further interrogated the actress about past controversies linked to Captain Naveed and her previous associate, Atiqur Rehman.

The questioning even extended to the financial details of a hospital project that Meera had promised to build to honour her mother.

Despite feeling visibly awkward, the seasoned performer tried to redirect the focus back to her creative professional film work.

She stated: “I don’t know what you are saying. Just watch my film, Psycho. I am really excited for it.”

As the host persisted with his personal inquiries, Meera once again reminded him about the actual reason for her visit.

The star told the persistent interviewer: “Again, I made this film, Psycho. Everyone should go see it.”

Many viewers were frustrated because the host ignored her clear boundaries and continued probing into sensitive and private matters.

Meera eventually decided that she had had enough of the unprofessional treatment and chose to end the podcast session immediately.

She stated: “We are very happy that you came to our set. I’m leaving.”

This graceful exit sparked a massive wave of support from the public, who criticised the lack of journalistic ethics.

Netizens shared their disappointment online, arguing that personal lives should be respected regardless of a celebrity’s public status or fame.

This particular incident mirrors a past interview where the actor similarly refused to engage in gossip for views.

During that previous encounter, she had made her stance very clear regarding the exploitation of her private life for ratings.

She previously said: “I will not speak on personal matters. I am so sorry.

“I would like to say something with utmost respect on your channel and to your viewers and department, I am not one to discuss personal life on television for the sake of views, ratings and money.

“I think we should focus on our work and speak on it.”

Her fans highlighted that many Pakistani podcasters seem more interested in sensationalism than in discussing the actual craft of acting.

Meera remains a significant figure in the industry, having starred in major hits such as Mushkil and Kasak.

Now she is focusing all her energy on the release of Psycho, which promises to be a gripping cinematic experience.
