“I’m stressed, y’know. Guys, we have to go."
Chappell Roan found herself in a hilarious TikTok mishap when she accidentally joined a live battle with a South Asian man.
What followed was a comedy of errors as the Grammy-winning singer tried—and failed—to exit the interaction.
Chappell, who was promoting her new single ‘The Giver’, mistakenly invited a stranger to her livestream.
Things got awkward when Chappell realised her mistake, saying:
“Wait, I didn’t mean to do this.”
The visibly confused star desperately looked for a way to remove the accidental co-host:
“So sorry… Can you leave?”
But eager for a TikTok match, the man refused to leave and repeatedly requested “one match” in both English and Urdu.
On TikTok, “matches” are a relatively new feature. It involves multiple creators joining forces on a livestream to win “points” from viewers that ultimately convert into cash for the winner.
Chappell Roan and her friend Misha attempted to respond in Urdu, saying “nahi” (no) and “Allah hafiz” (goodbye), but the persistent challenger stayed put.
At one point, he even tried to gain followers, saying: “Come on guys, follow me back!”
The chaotic moment, captured in a screen recording and shared on X, showed Chappell growing increasingly flustered.
Looking for a way out, she said: “I’m stressed, y’know. Guys, we have to go.”
She then desperately asked: “How do we get out of this? Do we have mods? Guys, is someone a mod? Can you guys get me out of this?”
Meanwhile, the man, who is possibly from Pakistan or Afghanistan, continues asking for a match, with Chappell laughing:
“I didn’t mean to talk to you!”
With over 26,000 viewers watching, Chappell was heard saying “f**k” as the livestream abruptly ended, which was seemingly the only way that she and Misha could work out how to get rid of him.

Fans found the incident hilarious and praised Chappell Roan for her Urdu attempts.
One person joked:
“Chappell is the new Pakistani princess.”
Another wrote: “Chappell Roan saying ‘Asalamu alaikum, nahi, Allah hafiz’ is so desi-coded of her. Love to see it.”
Others were amused by the man’s unwavering focus.
One person commented: “I feel like he doesn’t even know that she’s famous, he just cares about the battle.”
Another quipped: “Chappell fighting for her life on TikTok live.”
Despite the unexpected chaos, Chappell Roan continues to rise.
Fresh off her Best New Artist win at the 2025 Grammys, the American singer remains a prominent voice in the LGBTQ+ community. And if nothing else, she’s now a viral sensation in South Asia too.
